i am part cree indian and i have herd stories of Ira Hayes. i know he raised the flag on Iwashima in world war two. i would apriciate it if you guys have any infomation on him. or whats your oppinion of him. thank you its greatly appriciated.

I just saw 300, and while it was an amazing motion picture it reminded me of our current day political situation. Near the end the council hears the queen about why they need to send all of Sparta's army to go assist with slaughtering the persian hordes.
The council member (i forget his name, the one who is the traitor) represents the liberal, he is telling the council "the king provoked an unneccesary war" (even though persia was already on their beaches about to take them over) and that "he has marched 300 of our finest men to their deaths" (geeze, reminds me of all the libs who say "Bush is marching our children to their deaths) and in the end this council member is shown to be a traitor who really only had his own agenda in mind.

Does anyone else see this paralell? I think that the Spartan king and his men (Bush and the VOLUNTEER army) are one in the same, because the liberals are saying withdrawl, no support, you are marching our men to their deaths for your own agenda.

How many of the people who support Bush in Yahoo Answers have friends, family, sons, daughters, etc. over in Iraq right now? How would you feel if two Marines in dress blues came to your door and informed you that the son or daughter you raised, took to ball games, went to school plays for, picked up from football practice was killed? Would you question why? Would you question authority, the same authority that sent your son or daughter to their death? Would you even allow yourself to ask why? I know that cowards will answer this question with insults and such which will prove the worth of their opinions. Just trying to provoke thought.

My niece 13 resides w/me. Mother is unfit, drugs & father abandoned her & moved out of state. About 32 kids destroyed a renovated home last month. My niece did not commit any crime except for trespassing. I recv'd letter -Probation stating a parent or Legal guardian must attend or it will go to juvenile court. Im debating on making contact w/dad & mom. Father gave me temp. guardianship which I currently filed and will be going to pay the fees & sched a court date. She appointed me guardian and is adapting fairly well. The other students were all expelled except for her due to her not commiting any crime. She failed to report the crime that is why she is on behavior watch at school. She knows now the seriousness of what she did. What should I do? I have a feeling I'll be paying a fine & we can work through this w/o involving the parents. What would U do?

I adopted my dog from a family back in 2005 paying $100 in cash for him. My psycho ex boyfriend is threatening to take me to court for custody of him. Now here's the thing. I accidentally left his papers at his condo when I left and he paid an emergency vet bill once. That all happened a year ago and since then I have taken him to the vet and gotten his Rabies, Bordetella, DHLP shots, along with grooming, etc....
I do not want him to see, or have visitations but he's threatening to hire a lawyer and take it to court. This is just really sad and it breaks my heart because he's such a momma's boy and deserves to be with me.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.
