currently it costs 11,000 a year per person. Now, if businesses didn't help defray that cost, you bet they would demand it!

You think Socialized medicine will make it cost less? It won't!
Where do you people think that money comes from that the company uses to pay for health insurance? That is extra money a person could be earning. It is part of your salary.

Deport illegal aliens and the cost of healthcare would drop by at least 40%. Most people don't know that most of the costs of illegal aliens using Emergency Rooms are passed on to the insured, not the government.
Health Care Costs Keep Going Up Because Of Undocumented Workers, Should We Remove Them?

One of the major factors for the increase in health care costs is due to undocumented workers abusing the system. Several California hospitals went bankrupt because they were constantly using emergency rooms for non-urgent care.
"In some hospitals, as much as two-thirds of total operating costs are for uncompensated care for [undocumented workers]. (Read more: The Sinking Lifeboat: Uncontrolled Immigration and the U.S. Healthcare System - Executive Summary FAIR)
The utilization rate of hospitals and clinics by [undocumented workers] (29 percent) is more than twice the rate of the overall U.S. population (11 percent). (Read more: [undocumented workers] and Public Health FAIR)"http://www.house.gov/forbes/immigrationprimer.htm

So, how would socialized medicine reduce the cost of medical services? The primary reasons for increased cost are liability insurance and covering the cost of medical care for government mandated optional medical care for the non-insured.
The proper response is tort reform and immigration control.

Socialized drugs could be too vast of an merchandise for them to handle it nicely.

"Socialized" medicine does not make medicine free, or cheaper. It makes it far more expensive and far less efficient. The difference is that "socialized" medicine would cost you $15,000 per year in taxes every year, whether you are sick or not, instead of our current private system where you may pay $15,000 this year, but $0 next year.
Socialized medicine is only supported by people that failed math and economics.

It does cost that much. If you had to pay for health insurance for your family on your own and didn't have an employer to pay for most of it.. it would cost you about 1000 a month for a good plan.

What's wrong? You don't work hard enough to make that kind of money? Guess you should get off your lazy bum, stop buying all your superficial bull crap and stop asking people to pay for you. What's more important, that car you are driving or your health? Get a bike if you want to afford health care.

You can already pay that if you can and want to. What Conservatives would object to is paying that for someone else. The idea that someone over spends on them self would make Conservatives call for government action shows you do not understand Conservatives
