my barricks was at the very bottom of tank hill which i geuss they have torn down.i was there oct '85-dec '85,drill sgt hupp.im planning a return trip this summer,so let me know if ya live on the east coast we'll meet there.thanks

I did my Basic Training during the summer of 1985 (had to get back to complete senior year of HS) on Tank Hill. I was in Bravo 4-1-3. Used to live in SC, right next to Fort Jackson. The barracks was still there last I've seen. Victory Tower is still there (but, damn it looks smaller). It's real hard to get on the post now. The best way to get on post is off I-77, or if you're in downtown Columbia, take Taylor Street straight to it.
