My son has been advised by his barrister to plead guilty to an attempted robbery. We feel now he has been ill advised. I know you probably think i'm his mum and i would say he's innocent, but the events that took place shows that he is innocent. He's never been arrested before or even cautioned by the police, has a good family background and is doing extremely well in college. Not the signs of a person who would attack or threaten anyone with a knife. The knife he had was a small battered round headed knife he used to repair his bike when he was out and about on it. I'm feel he should have been able to state his case and let the jury decide rather than to have a judge make the decision. So is it too late to change his plea? He's 18 and the plea has already been put before the judge for an indication.

Bush once said that he would fire anyone ON THE SPOT if they were found to have leaked Plames name to the media for revenge against her husband for pointing out that the documents which is the reason why we went to war with Iraq was forged. Libby has been the fall guy. So will Bush now stand by his word and resign because he was involved? What about Chaney and Rove?

I personally didn't agree with Reagan's domestic policies, but I felt that his foreign policy was very pragmatic. I believe that he would have sought and received a declaration of war from Congress to do whatever had to be done to Afghanistan and capture OBL. Reagan made threats, when he thought they would be beneficial to the US, but he was practical. And I don't think he would have stuck our military in the middle of the Islamic ideological conflict in the middle east. He walked away from the Beirut Marine Barracks bombing, because he knew that the consequences of remaining in that region. That's just my opinion though. What do you think?

Bin Laden said that in a war, the US will come in and when they sustain a some casualties, they will pull out and run like cowards. Is the current anti war crowd that wants us out of Iraq before we have achieved victory playing right into his hands?

I've come across a number of quotes from presidents, founding fathers, and others, that seem to support this. I'm not passing judgement either way, but I've even heard that Abraham Lincoln had no intention of creating a multiracial society, and instead intended that blacks be repatriated to Africa. Even the most anti slavery presidents tended to not believe in equal rights for blacks, or natives for that matter. Also many Presidents courted and married underage girls. Is this factual or fiction? Would candidates who held such views today even be electable?

Should people with dissabilities settle for SSI and whelfare when the government is resposible to provide the best of education? Why there's not equal opprtunities for them? They are being treated as "low incidence" community. Does anyone knows what that mean? There's the IDEA law. ADA law and the Child Bill of rights and the government seems to have forgoten them. Who's to blame?
