I might...it would take a peacemaker to get us out of all this...and for all the crap ppl give him - he is one of the few ppl strong enough to be honest and put ppl first...he has many of the qualities americans claim they want in politicians and then they don't elect ppl with those qualities and just whine about it...

Maybe

He was completely clueless as president and did just about nothing. He'd be preferable to Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama because he wouldn't do anywhere near as much to expand big government. He was also a rare anti-war president.

However, I'd prefer Ron Paul as president. He'll go after the roots of our government's problems, such as getting us out of the UN, shutting down that counterfeiting corporation the Federal Reserve, and secure the borders (which includes no welfare for illegal immigrants to keep them in Mexico). He'll get rid of the Patriot Act and end the Iraq War (he voted against the overappropriation the Democrats made to the war and he's been anti-war from the start). When you've got a Ron Paul in the election, he's definitely worth supporting. Check his voting record. He's held the same views for 30 years, which would be a refreshing change from these change your mind every year politicians we usually have to choose from (see: Hillary Clinton's vote for Iraq).

No he serves the US better as a novelist who should be commended for exposing the lies of the pro-Israel fanatics embedded in the US and for breaking the ice allowing the US citizens an opportunity to look objectively at the facts concerning the State of Israel and their apartied-like actions that we formerly supported blindly.

He's to old, but he was probably the most moral president we have had in a VERY long time, no matter your views of him as a president!

While he wasn't the greatest pres we ever had, he beats the hell out of curly and moe that are there now! He has the international respect and the integrity that we desperately need. He doesn't mince words, comes right out and says what's on his mind.

NO, but as someone else said.

I would let him build me a new house, hopefully it wouldn't fall down a couple of months later.

He needs to stay with his peanuts, the only thing he even comes close to knowing anything about.

No. He is a wonderful ex-president, but he did a poor job as president.

No. Because Carter put religion into politics, and he was the first hypocrite.
