If we all lived to a ripe old age, surely we would be even more over populated and they couldnt afford that could they?

This will support my prejudice view!
My boyfriend waitedtwo and a half years just for a 5 minute consultation about nerve damage after an accident. He was in his twentys and had to use crutches daily. When the appointment finally arrived, we were told there was nothing they could do. We ended up moving to a warmer country just so he could have a better quality of life. It worked, he is much better now. The sun has many healing powers.

My friend went into hospital to have a splinter removed from deep inside his thumb and contracted a disease from the hospital and had to have part of his thumb removed.

Im not critisizing the nurses and doctors, they do a great job, but the waiting lists are ridiculous.

Our government would rather spend money on a trident submarine (I got that piece of info from a well respected doctor)

By the way, our Health Service used to be the best in the world, its certainly not now!
I could give numerous more examples of waiting lists, but I think you get my point.

My first example was to show the amount of time it took to see a consultant, he was in a lot of pain for a long time.
I shouldnt have added the rest as it provokes comments like yours.

You have obviously never been affected by the lack of money in the NHS.

Yes the best thing you could do is leave school at 17, go into full time work, never take a holiday or a sicky, then when you reach retirement age (which will probably be 75 in a few years time) go home sit in your chair and quietly slip away,Oh and they will probably tax you for the privilege of dying

I don't believe the National Health Service is rubbish. Perhaps you could give us some examples to support your prejudiced view.

***UPDATE****

Your first example - the sun made him better - what did you want? A prescription to live abroad?

Your Trident comment: Doctors have opinions too you know.

Yes, they are always trying to figure out ways to cut back.
