Personal awards on the left, unit awards on the right,
Mostly he wears them in his heart and soul

Depends. Medals are not usually worn on class A uniforms. They wear ribbons. Military dress uniforms are the ones usually containing the medals and they are usually miniature!

On day to day uniforms some badges like the Combat Medic or Infantryman are worn, along with Airborne wings!
