You're trying to stir up the debate on "illegals pay taxes, so it must be OK to be here." Wrong. The employees of any government must be trustworthy and show allegiance to the government they serve (the one exception I can think of is locally-employed staff at embassies but they are very strictly vetted). Consequently, most countries require that their government employees are citizens of that country. That is the case with the USA and it is correct.
I am a legal immigrant with skills in taxation. I could do a good job for the Internal Revenue Service. However, I am not yet a citizen, so I am not eligible to apply. That is right and proper. It has nothing to do with the fact that I have paid taxes for the whole five years I have been here and everything to do with the fact that I have not yet sworn complete allegiance to the United States of America and all this country stands for.
EDIT: Just in case anyone is wondering why I have not yet sworn allegiance to the USA for five years it is because I am on the final stretch to citizenship. At that point I will happily swear allegiance.

No, i do no longer recognize any in my view. human beings do no longer walk as much as me and say "hi i'm an unlawful alien." I artwork in universities and that they do no longer hire illegals to instruct training. they could get professors from different international places yet those human beings get visas and are not right here illegally. There are some Mexican adult men who decrease flora and sparkling the food market on my block, that's owned by way of a few Asians. i think they are all unlawful (no receipts ever given) yet i do no longer ask--as though they might tell me besides. right here i do no longer see any Mexican women human beings working--there replaced into a piece of writing this month interior the paper approximately unlawful Mexican workers (adult men) interior the eating places. they are busboys and dishwashers. regrettably, they are commonly victims of muggings--this replaced into the purpose of the object. human beings recognize what time they get off artwork and recognize they gets a commission in money and wait and bounce them. even regardless of the indisputable fact that i do no longer approve of unlawful immigration that's unhappy that they are victims of attack and muggings. The criminals who do that are pathetic. They recognize they'll get away with it because of the fact the unlawful extraterrestrial beings won't report them because of the fact they gained't bypass close to the police or any regulation enforcement when you consider that they are right here illegally and should no longer be working.

uh no, thats the stupidest thing ive every heard. if your an illegal why would you want to publicize that to the f---ing government, espicially the INS, do you know what that stands for? thats the f---ing Immigration and Naturalization Service you f---ing idiot. leave the country now and come back in legally, if they dont ever catch you as an illegal you wont have the penalty waiting period.
plus the US gopvernment may have some corrupt politicians but even the corrupt ones wouldn't take the risk of paying low level employees "under the table" especially if they are illegal immigrants. the INS would get scewered by the public if they hired an illegal, for obvious reasons.

Immigrants are here legally.
"Undocumented immigrants" are no such thing. The proper term is ILLEGAL ALIEN. They are NOT immigrants.
BTW working "under the table" MEANS working in collaboration with the employer to cheat the government by paying NO taxes, so your last sentence is wrong.

If the Immigrant applying for those jobs have the aptitudes, knowledge, and skills to get the job. I think the Federal agencies or employers should grant him/her the path to become legal and documented. Multinational trade agreements and advances in technology, transportation and communications have blurred the lines between nations to create a global marketplace facilitating the movement of both goods and services. The development of an international labor pool means that the most unique and talented professionals born in one country, may be educated and trained in another, and employed wherever their skills are most in demand. Employers have learned that, for their U.S. business or industry to compete in the international marketplace, they must recruit the best and brightest professionals irrespective of their countries of birth. As rich and varied as our domestic workforce may be, it simply cannot satisfy business needs in every instance -- especially when an increasing percentage of leading graduates in the sciences and technology in top U.S. universities are foreign-born.

I don't know the answer to this question, but my answer would be I HOPE NOT!
Could you imagine an illegal working for INS let alone the DEA or FBI?! That is just plain ridiculous!
Aren't most of California's most wanted illegals?

Knowing how our government works and just recently finding out we had illegals working in the airport and smuggling drugs.....it's obvious their checks are far from through. The rate it's going....you'll probably have a better shot than the citizen!
