no, where did this come from? Brazilians are actually quite well off although the gap between rich and poor is much wider there than in America

wow the things people don't know.

The us companies loaned the Brazil grovernment millions to start industry to boost there Economy. The government agreed because they wanted more money. The reason they had little money was the people of Brazil lived off the land. They grew their own food. Well in exchange for the loans the Pineapple companies took posession of all the fertail land in Brazil. This displaced all the farmers that grew food to feed their families. Now they live on land that will not grow anything. The people can work for the pineapple companies but pineapple ar only havarvested every two or three years. The wages are so low that they can not buy fertilizer for the land to grow thier own food. Pineapple are too expensive to buy and all the land is used for pineapples. So when you by a can of DOLE pipeapples for a dollar cheaper at WALMART, you just supported the slavery of Brazil. The people are starving to death to grow us pineapples. Its true. Look it up!

Most Brazilians are oppressed by other Brazilians. There are is a lot of poverty and a lot of racial discrimination in Brazil. The upper classes do live very well, but the poor live in terrible conditions.

Yes they are and it's monetarily. But, if they let their leaders walk all over them...it's their issue, not ours to save them. I know that sounds crass, but I'm tired of other countries sucking off the $$ of the U.S. then calling Americans horrible names. I'll never purchase anything from those countries. I won't send my money to leaders who have no scruples.
