My buddy just recently got a fake id. It has his picture and all on it just a different state and different birthday obviously. He went into a local Frys/Safeway type place and they wrote down some of the info and asked him to sign a sheet of paper. This has happened to a few of my buddies before. Is this just so they are not liable?

Ok, so I have been having some trouble with my neighbors and their dogs and my dogs. Their dogs bark at my dogs, which ofcourse causes my dogs to bark back. The neighbors have late parties in their back yards (lots of screaming and yelling) which causes my dogs to bark. The fence between my house and their house is on my side of the property line and was pretty rotten when I moved in, the fence is being destroyed by both sets of dogs. I am repairing it little by little as budget allows, but today, the two sets of dogs collectively pulled two planks out of the fence. My boyfriend saw it happen and went out and directly nailed up two new planks. Our dogs stayed in our yard the whole time. But, the neighbors called the cops and said that both of my dogs got in their yard and one dog tried to bite their son. I know that this did not happen, but the cops don't believe me and I am being fined for destruction of private property (even though the fence is in MY yard), and public nuscence.

As in every government organization run like a business except for the military (because that would mean they would need to conquer countries for money)

Tax cuts without a proportionate cut in spending creates a revenue shortfall. To fund this shortfall, the republicans borrow money. According to their theory, the revenue shortfall will eventually be eliminated by the increased revenue from an expanding economy created by the upper class spending more of their money.

The problem with this theory is US GDP has never grown fast enough to start paying off Republican created debt. - not once. Ever.

It's a pig in a poke folks - and the US taxpayer is the pig. You do the math.

This is the same logic that the Left uses to suggest that US policy in the Middle East is "creating a new generation of terrorists."

Actually the most recent question the poster said "jihadists" - I'm surprised the question wasn't deleted by YA as being offensive to Muslims.

But the question still stands - there is a movement the objective of which is to kill people who don't subscribe to it. That movement has existed for centuries, long before the United States existed. Presently we're one but hardly the only target - Bali, for example, didn't send any troops to Iraq....

But even if we provoke their ire by fighting them, didn't we do the same thing in the South in the 1950s and 1960s? If we'd just decided not to fight the tyrants there, wouldn't there have been less bloodshed? Clearly that's not a reason to have backed off then - even if were true, it wouldn't be a reason to back off now.

They SAY their motive is for Islam to dominate the world - I believe them.

I'm trying to understand why so many speeding tickets are given to individuals. Is going 80 in a 70 really all that dangerous? Is going 50 in a 40 all that bad? Depending on the conditions of the road is it dangerous but in many situations it is not.

From what I've seen the biggest cause of accidents is tailgating. I would like to see more tickets given for this and back off the speeding tickets. Just take a drive down the road and there is a 85% chance you will spot more than one person tailgating another.

Here is another good one. How many of you come to acomplete stop at every single stop sign you encounter? There is a good chance that you roll through a sign here or there because you can clearly see that traffic is clear and you can proceed. A lot of these signs can be replaced by yield signs and most traffic engineers would agree.

What do you guys think?

My husband was stopped and given a speeding ticket by the State Highway Patrol. The patrolman said he was doing 46 mph in a 25 mph zone. My husband told the patrolman there was no way he could have been doing 46 mph, as he was going over railroad tracks, on the main thorofare through town, however he admitted he was probably going over 25 mph. The patrolman said, "well, my detector doesn't lie", so of course my husband got stuck with the ticket. But I found it odd that he (the State HWY Patrol) is even allowed inside the city limits. Shouldn't that be designated to only the city Police? Hope someone can tell me if in fact the ST HWY PT are allowed there. Thanks in advance.
