A recent editorial called 'The Unspeakable Truth' looked at four truths about the Iraq War.

The article received a lot of discussion tonight on CNN. I think if you google 'The Unpeakable Truth', you can probably find the article.

One of the four truths was something like this:

"U.S. troop deaths are wasted lives"

Do you agree wih this?

If you believe that the war was a mistake to begin with, then I guess these are all people who did not have to die. If you lose something that never had to be parted with in the first place, then that thing is wasted, isn't it?

The author of the article was asked if he thought it was insulting to say that the troops who died are wasted lives. He responded by saying that it wa a greater insult to continue using rhetoric to try and say that the soldiers died for a great cause.

Its a touchy subject, and I am not sure if I agree or disagree.

they should getting free benefits ok, i not care what anyone saying, this 4-5 dollar hour deprivin them of afordable insurance, good housing,good beer and entertainment. If whites boy making 15-30 dollar hour doing easy job, they can afford everything.

Take a look at all the questions being asked... who will we next be at war with... what if we go to war with China.... etc etc etc

For Goodness sake, life really is far too short to spend time thinking let alone discussing War. Have the last 5 years not taught Americans ANYTHING?

Maybe it has, and they have become obsessed with seeing loved ones returning home in body bags... with the full trappings of a military funeral to stir the emotions up.

WAR IS NOT A GAME. !

Late at night, the police in my area follow whatever car is on the road. I get home from work between 1:30-2am. Back in November I had a citation ticket on my window for not having the county decal sticker. I had just transferred my plates to the new state I'm living in and had 30 days to get the sticker. The ticket was clocked at 1:31am and I remembered the night before coming home there was a cop that was driving behind me for about two miles and disappeared. I think he ran my plates and came back after I went inside.

About a month ago a cop crossed the interaction as I was going home and I watched him make a quick u-turn from the direction he was going and speed like hell to catch up with me. He followed me for a few minutes and then drove off. And last night I watched a cop do the exact same thing to another car and when the cop saw me he did the u-turn to catch up with me and followed me into my apartment complex and pulled up behind me in my parking spot. Is this legal?

Obama just paid his 17 year old parking tickets, George has a misdemeanor DUI conviction, Bill Clinton is a convicted felon (lying to congress) . Every day in the paper one of our wonderful leaders is busted for something and thats just the stuff we know about. It seems that we need a law that says if you are a lawmaker then you have to be a law abibing citizen.
