Even if the job is done in Iraq, do you think it will be any better? Whether we leave right now or in a few years, terrorists will still comeback and haunt us from a different direction, from a different country, even from Iraq. So how will US be more safer than it is right now?

1 less terrorist supporting country = safer. Safer does not have to equal 100% safe.. just an improvement.

You think it will better if we leave right now and give Iraq over to the nutjob in Iran? We need to stay long enough to see a stabilized Iraq that can govern and defend itself.
The war on terror was started on 9/11/01. We may never see the end of it. But the democrats plan to "re-deploy" out of Iraq is definitely NOT what we need to do. We need to maintain pressure on the terrorists and extremists wherever they are, 24/7/365. The price of freedom is constant vigilance.

Depends on how you define safe. If you mean the terrorists coming here we're already there. If you are talking about unrest in Iraq it will take the people in that part of the world to work things out.

I've never heard anyone say that. Even Bush has said from the beginning that Afghanistan and Iraq are just the starting points. There is still a lot to be done.

Simple. They need to pat themselves on the back and if they don't lie or pretend, they can't.

Because they do not know how to think for themselves???

That is the only explanation. Bush said so.

Call it naivety.

Call it gross ignorance.

Call it being a listener to Rush Limbaugh.
