Politics & Government - 4 March 2007

We as Indians have literally stereotyped ourselves living in Urban Chaos, Bad Governance, Poverty, bad civic Infrastructure, Corruption, social disorder etc. etc. We know what our problems are yet we tend to shy away from finding solution to our problems. Yet i do hear comments for this particular question like "Our politicians are ruining this country!!", " There is no hope!!"... and the only thing i draw from such a comments is that we are indeed pessimistic. We simply have chosen to live with these problems rather than mutually finding out solutions. I rather not blame politicians and our system if our country is getting ruined but i think i would rather blame the common people for not doing anything about it.!! I would love to hear comments on this one.

I think that intelligent people can agree- "joking" or not, if you use an epithet or a slur (no, "troll" isn't one, unless you can tell me what group it refers to), you don't get to be a talking head anymore. I thought if enough people ignored this wench, she would go away. I never imagined she'd go straight up Tim Hardaway on national television. Can we agree that no matter which way she leans, her "insight" is no longer wanted?

I've been experimenting with mescaline and this new form of crack, but I was wondering, what drugs make for the best liberal? I know that with Obama it was crack and with Bill it was pot. Maybe if I try all of the drugs? Of course, bush doesn't want me to do this. He's evil and he ran over my dog. I'll never see my little scruff again and I can never forgive him for that, or the 70 million people and countless other pets (peta.org for details) he's butchered. Wait a second. There's a bird outside my window. It's black like a cia helicopter. Bush must be using it to spy on me! Oh how sad is the day with this man can even turn mother nature against us! Don't americans know how much better communism is? Just look at the wonderful success that china has been! Sure, Mao Zedong had to weed out a few bad apples, but overall the great leap forward was a smashing success! Think of it, no more war, lots of money for everyone. No more racism or inequality. No more jews. Freedom of speech for everyone and the freedom to think however you wish. No more conservatives. No more hatred or sadness or pain or disease! All you have to do is vote democrat in '08 and we're almost there! But for some reason, some "people" don't want this to happen. We call them conservatives. They hold jews on the same par as people and worship this unicorn in the sky or something. They use mind control to make people vote for them and send hurricanes to kill people who don't. (Look at katrina, killed many democrat voters. Coincidence?) So I wanna know, why is america not communist when communism is so wonderfu?

If so, (you following one or the other without any question) then you might want to reconsider your position. America needs help...the *right* kind of help. Today, G.W.B. is a flaming liberal as far as I am concerned (but I pray for him and hope for the best for him/us). You must then know what I think of any democrat/leftist. When will Americans squash the left and take back their country ? How can America win this internal battle while trying to face down overseas enemies as well? What needs to happen ?

I've never believed any of that silly bible make believe stuff. I like non fiction like Michael Moore, Al Franken and Hillary Clinton's "Living History". However, Bush has caused me to change my views. And like a good liberal I am open minded. The antichrist is supposedly the absolute evil. Outside of Newt Gingrich, nothing even comes close. Then Bush comes and shatters my perceptions. Wow. He killed 65 million people and countless pets so far and counting! (See peta.org for details) He's also a christian and a neocon fundamentalist jewlover. But it gets worse than that. He stole the election from al Gore in 2000. That's far worse than the people he killed. Then he mind controlled everybody and took away habeus corpus and sent half of America to cuba to be tortured and then invaded Iraq. And he made 9-11 happen and then lied. Is that the job description of the antichrist? It's almost enough to make me want to open a bible and find out, but I'm not in the mood for fiction.

How can we win the war on terror against George Bush? How can we defeat his terror machine, his mind control devices, his storm troopers, his weather machine (hurricane katrina), and his propaganda? I had touched a tool that may have been used in a crime...from what I have heard, they took it to a fingerprinting lab. When they find my prints on it, are they going to be able to match it up to me? Do they have anything to match it to? I assume there will be multiple people's prints on there anyway, since it was in a store and I wasn't the last one to use it. I have never done anything bad, but I do not want to be blamed for this. Can they accuse me for this just for having my fingerprints?

the c.c.w. permit does not say guns only.but weapons. so can a person carry a knife or other type of concealed weapon instead? also i have been told no permit is needed to carry in glove compartment in car if over 21 and you have no criminal record.

Why do some liberals think that patents to medications should be allowed to be stolen by anyone and manufactured?

Why don't you feel the same way about other items, such as software, tools, etc....

Do they not think research and development costs money? Do they not realize that if people were allowed to manufacture meds someone else spent money developing, that the developers would no longer research cures and aids?

I m currently looking for a job. I m under F-1 visa. I've applied for my Opional Practical Training(OPT) and its good for one year. If i can get a job within 1 year, i will have to apply for the H-1 visa.
Now, i've seen many job descriptions saying they only want applicants who can work in the us WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. Do they mean they are avoiding people like me?
Also, since i m on OPT, i practically need no sponsorship for this one year. Should i still go ahead and apply for those jobs?
