It is a well known historical fact that the Arab & Persian world has atempted to destroy Israel on at least 4 occassions. The Jews have also made Israel an industrial power house and made the desert blossom. Isn't it emascualting to know they have done better with the land in 60 years than the Arabs in 2,000 years?

Fifteen of the nineteen hijackers on 9/11 were from Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden was born in Saudi Arabia and had financial support from the House of Saud ( the ruling family in Saudi Arabia).
However, because of Saudi Arabia controlling much of the world's oil supply, and the Saud's family ties with the Bush family, the American public got distracted as to the more direct cause of 9/11.
World politics can get very complicated of course. So they didn't go after the ruling family of Saudi Arabia. Bush and his advisors, along with other politicians thought it better not to call attention to this connection. What's your opinion ?

Why was she allowed into the Conservative Political Action Conference (the conference to get everyone juiced up over the upcoming elections and their candidates)?

If you don't know about her, she is a political writer. Many of her comments are bigoted and inflammatory. And any attempts Republicans should hope to take to bring the country together, especially through heralding a moderate conservative Republican for this presidential election, she lamblasts.

True folly, for Republicans, for America. (signed a registered Democrat who wants us to be one nation again, the United States... singular noun)

I saw a man speaking who worked at an enclosed unit for people who had commited severe crime. It is for those who are considered to have diminished responsibility due to mental illness during the crime-event.
He believed in the "second chance" policy for all. But what is meant by "second chance" in our society? We have jail time and compulsory-treatment time. And in the end-if the experts and Judge decide the person may come free into society.

Does "second chance" in terms of jail/treatment release mean that society gives you a second chance?
Does "second chance" in terms of jail/treatment release mean that you can give yourself a second chance?

Is there actually such thing as "second chance" after sever-crime?

I was having a discussion and it was mentioned that the government should pay moms to stay home with their kids.(All moms) From medical care, to education and everything else why do we as a nation demand the government have so much power over us and then in turn complain about the taxes we pay?

My boyfriend worked at an instant oil change place for about 7 months when he fell off the catwalk and injured his back. He went to the doctor and wasn't able to work for almost a month per doctors request. He was recieving workman's comp. during that time and kept up all doctors appts and therapy and kept in touch with theh company's insure company. The day he was released to work from the doctor, he went to his job and said he was able to work again and to be put on the schedule. However, his boss simply said, "well we are going to have to let you go." He is now in the process of filing for unemployment but I heard that a company cannot simply fire you when you are able to come back to the job after a work related injury. What legal steps can we take to compensate for this confusion and total b.s?
