who decides what is the "common good", what if the common good is good for a majority but not for everyone? is it still the "common good"? is it the common good if I tell you what you need to do because I happen to think it's in your best interest even if you don't?

At this time it looks to be a very difficult proposition.It can only happen when the Veto Power is removed ans General Assembly and Security Council can work on the Democratic Basis.

yes they do now. there is no way for everyone to agree with all of their decisions,but it is better than nothing. it does need some reforms. there are those that blame the UN for acts of member states or people from member states,that is wrong. it is like blaming the whole US military for the bad acts of a few individuals. i wonder how they are considered as being against America,when America is one of the most influential members.
