I have heard that pollution can cause psychological alterations due to the chemicals involved and also the affect on the atmosphere (haze, smog, etc. can lead to depression, which would further the discontent with tradition and values. what are your thoughts? Please don't answer with "because liberals are for the environment" because so are conservatives..

Liberalism is merely the fight for individual liberties. Judging by the Bill of Rights I would say that the Republicans are the ones that hate America.

1. Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

2.declares the necessity for "a well regulated militia," and prohibits infringement of "the right of the people to keep and bear arms."

3.prohibits the quartering of soldiers (military personnel) in private homes without the owner's consent in peacetime.

4.guards against unreasonable searches and seizures

5.nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due

6.right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury

7.the right of trial by jury shall be preserved

8.prohibits excessive bail or fines, as well as cruel and unusual punishment

9. negates expansion of federal powers

10 rights not specifically enumerated in the Constition belong to the states

I LOVE it. People get so riled up when there is a plaque of the ten commandments in front of a courthouse, or a nativity scene in a Public School, because it may offend some people

http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20070222/ts_csm/anativity&printer=1

But, it is OK to teach about homosexuality, even though it may offend some people

http://www.concordmonitor.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070224/REPOSITORY/702240384/1002/NEWS02

So, in other words, you have the right to not be offended, unless you disagree with us. In that case, you CAN be offended.

What an outrage.

Can someone PLEASE explain this to me?????????

Ok so I had a myspace.
Yesterday,Me and about 8 others were called to our school office to meet with the principle.
She was very, very upset the most anyone has ever seen and was crying and screaming at us.
She had found all of our myspace's in a group called the "I hate...(and our math teacher's name)"
She had printed all of our myspace pages out for proof and had them on her computor at the time.
We are all supspened from the school computors and the school is supposedly getting the computor lab computors checked.
All the computors are unplugged as well.
We had to apologize the the teacher and she cried.
None of us know what is going to happen but our computor teacher and principle told us we could be sued for slander.
There was never a topic or feedback in the group so we never bashed her or anything.
Could we all seriosuley be sued and what do you think might happen?

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000

troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 32 months, and a

total of 2,912 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 55 per 100,000

soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per

100,000 for the same period. That means that you are about 25% more

likely to be shot and killed in the

U.S. Capitol, which has the strictest gun

control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq .

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington D.C.

ahhh politics.. pull out of iraq that will lead to prolonged suffering and extreamist and ignore greater death in our streets.. gotta love Democrats and the socilist state.

My soldier is stationed in Germany. He is taking leave in July and we are getting married. I am graduating college in May so there is a possibility that I can go back with him and stay in Germany after we are married. What do we/him need to do to move this process along? He is looking into it too, but I have always gotten great answers here. He is a PFC currently living in the baracks. He says that they will give us private housing if I join him. True?

And if he's (God forbid) ever deployed down range, will the Army pay for me to fly back home? Or am I stuck in a foreign country without my husband?

Also, are there many jobs for civilians while I'm over there?

Thanks!!

OK, here is a plan to end the war tomorrow. We leave Iraq, tomorrow (maybe Monday), and take all troops with us. We also take all troops in combat roles out of other countries. We secure the borders, to ensure no terrorists can cross the borders from Mexico.

We will also repeal the PATRIOT act.

NOW, we have made most of the war protesters happy, and 90% of them are convinced that the war in Iraq wasn't preventing a terrorist attack anyway, so....

We have every person who protested the war sign a paper, which states that if we have another terrorist attack in the U.S., they would have to join the armed forces to retaliate.

Since they believe we will have no more terrorist attacks, I am sure they will be GLAD to sign up!!!

Or will they weasel out of it, knowing that withdrawal from Iraq means MORE TERRORIST ATTACKS??

So, what is it protesters? Would you sign up??????

It was common knowledge that Newt was involved with other women during his first marriage.
Though he relentlessly pushes military spending and talks like a bigtime hawk, Gingrich avoided the Vietnam War through a combination of student and family deferments.

Newt pressed his first wife to sign divorce papers while she was still in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. He also graciously said "She isn't young enough or pretty enough to be the President's wife." Is this the type of "Family Values" he will being to the Presidential office?

While this debate cotinues to rage on with no truly equitable end in sight, do you think the "silent majority" will take matters into their own hands at some point, and violence will occur?

I ask because this is one issue that many on both the right and left agree on this issue in many ways. In addtion, every state in the Union has a militia, and god forbid I fear this issue will spark them into taking this matter on themselves (since the government has been slow to act with any definitive direction), and could possible draw in generally non-militant types as well.

What do you think?
