"Liberals" as you call them believe in idividual liberties and the protection of them.. by definition that is..

Answer this.. If Real Republicans are really so bad. Why is it always liberals or lefties attacking the the 1st amendement with their PC bullshit and constantly attacking my 2nd amendment right as well?
Congressman McCarthy is pushing for the scary black gun ban already.
Obama, Clinton and many others in the Democratic party say no one but the government has the right to bear arms and will go as far as banning all of them..Sounds like infringement to me.
So how do real Republicans hate America again?

If what you say is true, why does the ACLU spend so much time having symbols of faith removed or banned from the public view?

I think the one issue you may have point on would be the Patriot Act. Then again, I've effectively only lost my right to wear socks with holes onto airplanes.

With #10, why then, do we have a Federal Department of Education?

OK your argument that it is Liberalism that upholds the Bill of rights is so offensive to me I will not comment on it. I will pick apart that statement on one point. How exactly does the liberal ideal of redistribution of wealth uphold {nor be deprived of life, liberty, or PROPERTY, without due}? The real truth is Conservatives (true Conservatives) are the only defenders of the Bill of Rights. New Right Republicans are not Conservatives. In effect, Liberals support about half of the Bill of Rights and New Right or Neocons support about half as well. It is the true Conservative that holds all those rights sacrosanct.

if liberalism is the ability to use 10 "statements" from the bill of rights to verify an "opinion" then I guess I will never understand liberalism. and really dont want to

by saying something doesnt mean its so.
No matter how much the libs try to spin it there is very few of those you listed that are not violated by libs.

That's it? Judging by what? You just list the Bill of Rights. Give me some details about why you apparently love this country and I hate it. You're accusing me of not wanting to fight for individual liberties. Back it up, or shut up.

let me rewrite that for you in the correct format

1- freedom from religion, anything else goes
2- declares that we dont want a militia and prohibits arms
3- ... umm what the hell is this one..
4- its not fair to search or sieze any of my contraband.
5- deprive the unborn or the infirm of life and liberty cuz its choice
6- right to a speedy trial , but if we dont agree we will appeal
7- ok that ones fine
8- dont fine criminals, and you cant use harsh words with them cuz thats torture.
9- no expansion of federal powers.. unless its a social program that we can tax the rich on.
10- rights not specificlally enumberated in the constitution we will make up and if the constitution argues with us we will get a judicial referendum to circumvent it.

there ya go.. thats more like it.

Conservative means to preserve. I would consider "preserving the bill of rights" an action of "preserving" and thus conservative.

You will notice that abortion, gay marriage and pretty much every liberal position you can think of is not in the bill of rights. This doesn't mean that they are wrong, but it also doesn't mean that "conservatives hate america."

By what means are you able to read the minds of all of the conservatives in america to be able to tell that they hold such feelings? Telepathy is quite a claim.

To answer the question you asked:

I do not hate liberalism...I do not fully understand. It is frustrating to ask questions regarding liberalism and only get non-answers that do not aid me in understanding.

I am a right leaning independant, however, not a staunch conservative.

Of course we understand liberalism. We were all children once. But your definition is really skewed. Both parties lay claim to the Constitution, and it is the interpretation which defers.

Liberalism is naive, and provides little in the way of sound economic or social judgment in implementing its policies.

And the 10th Amendment sends abortion and gay marriage to the States.
