I used to be in the Navy and I used to think it was a good thing to serve my country, but I have my doupts now. Polititians do not care
about the people they are suposed to be severing. The people are getting taxed to death for what reason? To fight for an economic boost or to get oil which we aren't getting or will never get because of politics. We should all be buying eletric cars instead of supporting big oil. We support the terrorists that we are suposed to be fighting in fact most of the wepons being used to fight against us were bought with U.S. Moeny. So tell me why my son and son-in-law are fighting? They are fighting to keep there families fed, but does it justify why they have to endager theselves for a political charade?

Could anyone please tell me a rough idea of the prison sentance that might be given to someone for the rape of two women and the attempted murder of one of them? And what would be the likely term that person would actually serve - perhaps in Massachusetts?
I'd better explain why I'm asking; I'm in the process of writing a story. I do this quite regularly, but never actually get to write any of them down! Still, they keep me entertained. This particular story is turning out to be quite exciting, so I might just get my facts straight with it!

Millions, possibly even 100's of million go to bed at night without dinner in the United States. They are cold and unhappy. Yet you conservatives do not care about them. You do not think of them. We need our food but you take our money and food stamps away. We can't afford to work because our kids are important us. We need to stay home to be with them. But why don't you care?

I mean, whose side is she on really? She is just like the Kerry flip-flop. What does she want for this country? Is she conservative or liberal? Is a woman actually ever going to be president? Or is this just another publicity run, like Jesse Jackson?

I work in a pretty high profile government job ( my dream job for right now) for an extremely political and semi corrupt government. The government entity is trying to move away from that reputation. I consider myself extremely moral and fair. I go out of my way to treat everyone the same and I go by the book. The past few weeks some of the higher-ups have come to me and asked my to let certain situations slide, or to let their "friends" get away with certain things. I have told the bosses that I won't -- I will walk away from this job before I sacrifice my ethics. That is how I sleep at night- I am a good person and I do the right thing. Some people have suggested I should pick my battles and let these things go. Many of the others at my level in this government do just that, but the thought of getting sucked into the corruption makes me ill. However, the bosses could make my life a living hell. Am I doing the right thing or being overly "righteous"? Thanks!

Now that we control Congress, how do we get our representatives to do what the people want? We need free healthcare for everyone. Free housing, shelter, and food should also be explored. No one should be allowed to make more than $80,000 a year as that is more than sufficient to live on. The gross profits that companies make should be put into funds that help out the poor. Why don't you people care about the poor?

I'm not saying to end all capitalism, just the gross injustice that is taking place under capitalism.

In California, we have a large number of illegal aliens who receive a variety of free services. However, when I heard on CNN that Bank of America was tapping in on this new source of making billions of dollars. How about 9/11, what about the money they send home, who pays when the illegal runs off? We wonder why the middle class is deterioting among other left wingers ideas. Anyway, I want to take my account out of BofA and go elswhere. I have heard there was a list of banks out there who are not following the coattails of BofA. Can you help?
