The way Bush emptied the US Treasury every time he mentions SS I shudder at the thought of him getting his hands on the cash.

Past the ankles. There is no way I want him tampering with the trust funds that support many of our retirees, including me. Good question.

Dear Short Bus,

I hate to inform you, but presidents do not make the budget. They can make budget, as well as policy recommendations, but congress passes the laws and funding bills. Further, do you really think that Bush would be sitting at his computer screen with his scottrade account day trading the social security money? Or might it be more logical to think that others would be paid to manage any privatized funds...

Just curious if you think Bush has the time to sit around and do the day-to-day operations of the government. If so, why is there such a LARGE bureaucracy?

What social security money? For 40 or more years Congress has pissed away every nickel ever paid into S.S. The so called security box has been empty for years. If you pulled your head out of the sand you might actually see that Bush is not responsible for all the problems in this country.

Far better than the way the liberals empty Social Security of money and replace that with IOUs every election cycle.

I don't trust the government with our money. Unfortunatly after I had to pay in my whole life.....now they want to say it's not there......of course it's not.....they spent it and then try and blame the elderly. They just can't handle anyone having any money that they don't have their slimey paws on to be sure they get their cut. Every time anyone has found a means to safely save....they change the rules on them.

Obviously money management is not their strong suit.

By the time I retire, Social Security will look like the Mojave and that's got very little to do directly with Bush.

I don't trust any politician with Social Security. It should be privatized immediately. Let the people decide how to invest their money. I have beat Uncle Sam's rate of return every single year since I started investing when I was 22.

I do not trust any government with my SS money. I'm okay with investing it myself. I think that was Bush's idea, wasn't it?

How far do you have to stick your head up your rear-end to not realize that the tax and spend libbos are the biggest threat to social security. Congress controls spending, not the President, idiot! The new dumbocrat controlled congress worries me way more than the Prez!
