Furthermore, they accuse conservatives of inventing terrorist threats to justify war. Just look at some of my old questions for proof. Please explain in detail why they say such things.

i live in a relativly big city. i went with some friends to a much smaller city about an hour away from my city. I was caught stealing at the store for two video games (about $100 worth, i know stupid). I was held in custody by security until a cop came down and gave me a citation. I will probly go to court but I would just like to know what would happen if I dont (seeing how i live in another city would they come after me?)

My brother thinks that he can serve agen after serving 2 terms already. He sed his teacher told him that presidents cant serve more than 2 consecutive terms but can serve more than 2 terms as long as they are not consecutive. So basically, he thinks Bush cant run in this coming election in 2008 but can later on because its not right after his other 2 terms.

According to Bush, Cheney and Rice, this is good news. They claim that because the Brits have stabilized Basra and turned over security to Iraqi forces, the British soldiers can now redeploy. But wait a minute. A recent Pentagon report on the stability of Iraq lists Basra second only to Baghdad for violence and insurgent activity. Basra is named as a “Red Zone”. The British once had over 40,000 troops in Iraq. That number will sink to a few thousand by the end of the year. I don’t get it. The Iraqi War is a coalition effort, right? Instead of redeploying their troops, shouldn’t Britain, our most valued ally, be repositioning their troops in Baghdad instead? Shouldn’t they be supporting the US effort? The president wants to send an additional 21,000 troops, while our #1 ally has reduced its forces from 40,000 to less than 5,000. What am I missing?

The pensions provided to civil servants are excessive, to say the least. Social Security would be fixed if ALL people received the same opportunity, instead of the 80%/90% of the salaries civil servants received while employed, they now receive upon retirement. If I was able to vote my salary and my benefits, there would be no end to when I would stop. Your COLA's are not the same as the adjustment S.S. recipients receive annually.

than Democrats. But less than two months after Democrats took over the House and the Senate, Cheney is in Pakistan telling the president of Pakistan that if he does not do more to help the US catch Al Qaeda members in Pakistan, CONGRESS will cut aid to Pakistan. My question is: Do Americans still think Republicans are looking out for their security? And if so, how can you believe that when Democrats have already done more to put pressure on Pakistan in TWO MONTHS, than Republicans did in 6 years!

I haven't seen liberals clamoring over him for years.
No one cares that he is a hypocrite either. Both parties have too many of those anyway. We can't keep up with Bush's contradictions to himself as it is. Last year denouncing a troop surge idea, and now staunching supporting it.
Well...you get the point.

and funds from the sale of one of their 20 expensive cars per year and donate it to the poor?
It's interesting that a group of people who together sit on trillions of dollars in personal income and live lavish lifestyles, preach to the government, the middle class and working poor about helping others, while they themselves give a smaller percentage of their income to these things than the people they preach to.

Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.
