I am just wondering what country Harper works for? He cuts millions from our vital services like health care and education for give aid to a country that he helped destroy?
It makes me sick when the people in his own country can not afford to live and eat but he can send all of the money to another country that he should have sent our troops to fight in anyways. If he wants to make up for what he did send them a poersonal check seeing as most of us did not want to be in this war anyways!

Hauer started his work for the NIH by September 10, 2001 as a national security advisor. He might have been there earlier, but public sources are not clear. At the time he still held the position of Managing Director at Kroll Associates, Inc.. On 11th September he gave a secret recommendation to the White House to take Cipro, an antibiotic that is effective against anthrax.

At the post Oscar interviews several of the media called Al Gore, winner of Best Documentary, Mr President. Was this just sheer stupidity on their part or refusal to let go the 2000 election?

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Al Gore has been out of politics for nearly eight years, but you wouldn't have known it backstage at the Oscars.

Some journalists addressed him as Mr. President, although Gore lost the closely contested 2000 election to President Bush. Others called him Mr. Vice President.

Gore, whose film "An Inconvenient Truth" captured the Oscar for documentary, pretended at one point during the awards show to be announcing his candidacy for president. But backstage he sang a different tune.

"I do not have plans to become a candidate for office again," the former vice president told reporters.

More news coming out today from veterans groups pointing out that the Bush administration and the (former) GOP Congress has been underfunding the Veterans Administration--they don't have the money or the staff to provide adequate services to Americans veterans.

One more proof of how hypocriticalthe neocon cllaims that they support our troops--or our country. Because you can oppose an unjust war and still be a patriot. But you can't ignore the sacrifices and the needs of our troops and veterans and still claim to be patriotic.

I guess this is one more mes caused by neocon hypocrisy the nasty liberals will have to clean up! LOL

I am in the care of a lady who Social Services is trying to say isn't capable of making the best decisions for herself. She is a little forgetful but by no means to the point of not knowing what's going on. Social Services is trying to get a family in with them to take over her wishes and declare her incompetent. I am in the process of getting a lawyer to try to help her. I also have recently gotten power of attorney over her. What will it take to get Social Services off our backs and let this lady live her life the way she wants? She has been taken advantage of by her son who had previous power of attorney and her money misused leaving her with some financial problems. I have gotten them under control now and have kept her at my house until this is settled. I also care for my mom who has been a long time friend of hers. Her family and DSS just want to put her in a nursing home and sell her house. She wants to live in her house. How can we get them to see she is alright?

I personally think it is a powerful tool that will make it easy for the government to track our movements in public, I dont like it and I think all Americans should be super mad at the thought of using this kind of tracking technology on us.

The United States, at a time in its history when it was an economically and militarily much smaller nation, simultaneously fought and defeated the Nazis and the Japanese Imperial Empire.

How can you insist that the U.S. cannot ultimately defeat some underfunded, poorly trained, under-educated Islama-Fascist thugs? We have reduced them to petty stunts like blowing up buses three blocks from where they live. We have contained their mayhem to their own turf, so no new attacks on U.S. soil.

Al Zarkawi implored his followers to hang on a little longer. He told them he realized that they were being crushed by the coalition forces, but sooner or later, stupid, naive American "anti-war" demonstrators would save the day for them.

Why are you falling into his trap?

I am curious based on some responses I read on a message board. Some people stated they would use the cheapest, most effective gun because it would be confiscated by law enforcement if used for self defense. I am not interested in whether they are correct or not, but I do wonder about their statement.

What happens to a gun that is legally used in self-defense? Is it confiscated (forever, temporarily, at all?). Assume you have a concealed carry permit and had to shoot someone or fire a warning shot in self defense. Would your gun be taken? What if you used a gun legally in home defense?

I know the law may vary by state and locality, but I am interested in hearing from law enforcement officers.

In business, your meant to supply your client with what they buy. Thats capitalism. Then why do prossies in essex and london, hate their clients? I only visited a prossie ounce, but watching the vice data, all the prossies hate their clients as if they are robbers or something. I had my credit card stolen, despite the fact it was empty. What ever happened to a prostititute that fell in love with their client? I think people have this wrong. Its not predator men using helpless women for fun, its idiot men getting used by money grabbing women. The police should start charging the suppliers instead of the customers.

For example, the events of 9/11. I don't know who was behind it, and I am waiting, possibly forever to get the whole story. If you make up your mind and decide that you believe there was no US government conspiracy or that there definitely was a conspiracy involving our government in some way, you will tend to reject evidence that does not fit in with your belief. I think we tend to look for evidence that supports what we believe, and in so doing we can become oblivious to the truth. That's why it's good, if you can, to be open-minded.

If you have an intelligent response to this question, I would welcome it. If not, no real need to answer.

It appears quite obvious people are terribly unhappy about the entire "mess" our Govt has placed us in.

Most of what is wrong did not happen "overnight". My dad spoke of secure borders 4 DECADES ago.
We defeated Japan, yet they now operate "in the black" and we owe them a ton of money, while we continue to go into debt.

How would you "grade" our government's performance over the last 40 years. And who would you most attribute the grade to?

I'd like "Star-Spangled Banner." Beside that, I think Israel and Russia's anthems are pretty good.
