Who should "we the people" blame?

It appears quite obvious people are terribly unhappy about the entire "mess" our Govt has placed us in.

Most of what is wrong did not happen "overnight". My dad spoke of secure borders 4 DECADES ago.
We defeated Japan, yet they now operate "in the black" and we owe them a ton of money, while we continue to go into debt.

How would you "grade" our government's performance over the last 40 years. And who would you most attribute the grade to?

I give it a D-.

Our government has slowly descended into gridlock, self interest,
pork and hypocracy. Behavior is based on biased liberal media. polls. The majority party in congress has become a tool of the Alkaida propaganda.

These lawmakers can hardly wait until we are defeated in the War on Terrorists so that we can learn a lesson just like our evacuation of Viet Nam. Just like when they were young in the 60's.

Environmentalism, global warming, regulated behavior, hate of our military and PC'sm is the new movement of socialists and everyone who wants more government control of us all. Those who think the corrupt UN supercedes our own rights. This is their agenda and religion.

This majority believes in the government solving all problems financed with OUR requesitioned tax money. Christain religion is evil, private charities also. Businesses and enterprenuers are considered as evil profiteers. Evil oil which is owned by millions of stockholders, including mutual funds which provide substantial retirement funds for the elderly is painted as the god of hell fire.

Anyone who is conservative is labled a racist, bigot, war monger
homophobe, stupid and on and on.

All began to descend after the early 60's. and today John Kennedy and Martin Luther King would be considered right wing extremists.

Our only hope of overtuning this mess is the young who believe in freedom, incentive, initiative, pride of independence and of our country's greatness based on freedom and tollerance. What other country accepts all religions races, ethnic groups. and political views?. It is all up to you. It is all up to you, the young to think for yourselves.

Your father is right. Today we would be surrendering to the Japanese and Nazis at their slightest aggression. Just like the French, Neville Chamberlain like people are no different then then the John Murthas and Nancy Pelosis of today. They would rather we lose the war on terror and submit our soverignty to the corrupt authority of the UN.

LBJ and his "Great Society" did a wonderful job of creating the entitlement society. All of those lacking the will to revamp Social Security (a.k.a. "Ponzi Scheme") should also have been ashamed of themselves and their contribution to the financial mess that they have created for this country, as well as for future generations. Congress has an insatiable appetite for our money and lacks the resolve and courage necessary to cut spending and do what is in the best long term interests of this country.

They are despicable and will never change. Politics reigns and reason be damned.

It seems obvious that we are our worst enemy, and only a political revolution will change the ongoing course of history.

However, if I were to place the blame one any one person for the mess we are in today it would be Ralph Nader!

I once heard and still believe "We get the government that we deserve". If we didn't keep voting all these jacka$$es into office we would be better off.
