Last I heard it was yellow, but that was about 12 months ago. Are they trying to phase it out? For some reason or another I have not heard about it lately on the news or elsewhere.

The reason we have not heard of it is because Georgie has nothing to gain from this fake alert anymore.
I can just see him rubbing his palms and giggling murdurously when he knew how the public will re-act to his next day scare tactic.

The Terror Threat Level is Yellow except
for air travel and that was orange as of Saturday 24 Feb 07!!

Today's level is yellow or elevated. Right in the middle of the scare-scale. You may be unhappy to know it is orange, high for aviation, enjoy your flight. My guess, if there are indeed plans to go into Iran, I suspect the level will increase before we invade, sort of like having a barometer for an invasion, the higher it goes the closer the invasion.

I have been wondering myself because I know there have been many rumors of threats....I think if there is something going on no one is talking as to not scare the public but I did hear a rumor that there are drills in Washington DC incase of an attack on the White House....

That's the current threat level.
Our borders and ports are so wide open right now, that a terrorist could walk into any Circle K to buy a Mega Lottery ticket--and no one would stop to question him!

It's Yellow, except in NYC, where it's heightened Orange, at all times when it isn't Red. Makes life interesting. (eeekkk)
