My husband and I just filed an I-130 for his mother in Honduras (he is a naturalized citizen). We tried going to the local USCIS office for help but they knew less than us. Does anyone know how it works? We don't want to file for the I-485 yet, she just wants to come visit for now (we may file that later). Will the I-130 allow her to come visit for a couple months on the visa they give her? And will we have to file the I-864 form for her to come visit? We have a hard time getting a straight, clear answer on how all this works. We have read all we can on the Internet, gone in person to the local office, and even tried calling the national office.
Any information would be helpful! THANKS!

I've asked this question before, and many of you felt free to tell me what a terrible idea this is, and how many things could go wrong.

Unfortunately, that's not my question. I'm not asking you if this is a good idea or not; I'm asking if the only way to get in is to lie, or is there an alternative way to get in?

I had heard a while back that some jailbirds had tattooed the forehead of some kiddy fiddler with some word or another. Can't remember but I remember almost crowing about how brilliant these jailbirds were! I'd have given them all a reprieve immediately!

What would YOU tattoo?

Could it be that the religious right that through away all other Christian values to follow the party of unbrideled greed for the single issue of abortion were betrayed? What Bush lie? I for one am surprised lol. Face it you sold your souls to the devil.

They are not even news programs, although many appear on Fox News.
They are for entertainment and the free exchange of rants fairly often and emotionally-charged opinions after the actual headlines have been reported.
You people realize this, don't you?

Why is John McCain on Yahoo! Answers asking US what to do about wasteful spending in Washington? He has been in the Senate majority for 20 years and hasn't done anything about it.

With all due respect to the Senator, isn't he part of the problem and not part of the solution?

They shouldn't get a raise unless they raise the minimum wage.

The idea being that if Congress votes to raise their own pay they MUST also raise the minimum wage by the same percentage. If they fail to enact the minimum wage increase then they get no raise either.

Every question. That gets asked, you guys always assume its aimed at your country. Where else can someone get done for attempted homicide, for hitting a cop car car at 5mph? Or someone trying to rob a petrol station, for a few dollars. Enough for a happy meal, when the dust valve washers on the car outside are worth a lot more on ebay.

Why can't you guys stop assuming that I plan or even want to live in america? Besides the dollar is worth pants compared to the pound and if I can buy a house for the price of 7 sets of alloy wheels here, why would I even consider moving to the US. I love the Worlds Wildest Police Videos though. Keep up the good job.

With the two-party system more entrenched than ever by campaign money, and the right- and left-wings in control of that money, can a moderate ever make it out of the primaries? Schwarzenegger did it as CA governor on his own dime, but President is a much more expensive campaign.

Whereas additional stabilization in Iraq by U. S. military forces cannot be achieved without the deployment of hundreds of thousands of additional U S. troops, which in turn cannot be achieved without a military draft; (Note: Republicans won't join )
;
Whereas, as of the drafting of this resolution, 3,159 U.S. troops have been killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom;
Whereas U.S. forces have become the target of the insurgency,
Whereas, according to recent polls, over "80"% of the Iraqi people want U.S. forces out of Iraq;
Whereas polls also indicate that 45% of the Iraqi people feel that the attacks on U.S. forces are justified; and the Iraqi people do not care and will never care.

I'm not asking whether we should be there, or whether it's winnable, or whether the cause was just.

I'm asking a simple yes or no question, primarily of leftists...Do you want to see a US victory in Iraq?
