I would like to see if there are any reports are under my name and record. I have tried going to the local police and they say I cant view my record unless i have a specific date of the incident or if i was a victim... I just want to know if I have any reports under my name. Anybody have any advice???

You should be able to just contact your local department's records unit, give them your name and date of birth and get the case numbers for any reports you are listed in. If they make it difficult, whatever state you are in should have some sort of a Public Records Act law or something. Do an online search and see what you are entitled to. You may have to submit a request in a certain format but it shouldn't be so difficult to obtain the information. Unfortunately some agencies make it damn near impossible. Good luck.

Contact the district attorney's office and ask for a copy of your records. You may need to pay a fee, and will have to prove your identity.

contact your local FBI office. I did this some time ago and the agent gave me great information. he recommended people do this just like they recommend you check your credit reports. it will depend which states you have lived/visited because not everything gets to the NCIC.
