I haven't seen liberals clamoring over him for years.
No one cares that he is a hypocrite either. Both parties have too many of those anyway. We can't keep up with Bush's contradictions to himself as it is. Last year denouncing a troop surge idea, and now staunching supporting it.
Well...you get the point.

Reagan became president when he was past 70. There's no such thing as "past his prime" unless you're a skateboarder or a stripper.

Political chicanery, The conservatives are only trying to "psyche" the liberals into thinking Gore would be a better candidate for the 2008 presidency than Hillary or Obama. They truly fear the candidacy of the latter; and would fell most threatened if these two would "join forces" as presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
