than Democrats. But less than two months after Democrats took over the House and the Senate, Cheney is in Pakistan telling the president of Pakistan that if he does not do more to help the US catch Al Qaeda members in Pakistan, CONGRESS will cut aid to Pakistan. My question is: Do Americans still think Republicans are looking out for their security? And if so, how can you believe that when Democrats have already done more to put pressure on Pakistan in TWO MONTHS, than Republicans did in 6 years!

The Republicans have "protected" us since 911 by taking away our Constitutional rights, starting a needless war based on fiction which created thousands more terrorists, ignoring major 911 Commission Report recommendations, creating serious international tensions, borrowing enormous sums of money from a communist country, and now threatening war with Iran. Frankly, I am more afraid of the "protectors" at this point than I am of the terrorists.
The Republican administration says their methods are working because we haven't been attacked again since 911, but it was eight years between the first and the last attack on our shores. The FBI and CIA were aware of the hijackers being in this country before 911 by using their old "tried and true" methods. Unfortunately, they failed to act for some unfathomable reason.
I have much more confidence in the motives of the Democrats than I have ever had in the neocons. For the most part, the media appears to have lost sight of what is happening to this country.

Honestly it depends the Republicans are well known for their care for national security(but sometimes they go too far) and they have taken more drastic measures in the house and senate to insure security.Im not goina get the the white house, because its rather sad. But besides a very small number of republican, Republicans are good for security, tradition, christan values, tax-cuts, and military.

While Democrats are good at education and protection for the next generation(such as global warming). But lacks in many things that we dont care about for the next couple years when we realize it.....

Just to let you know I am a Social Conservative doesnt mean im a Republicans, a person who share some ideas with the Republicans.

Sorry if you think I have bad vocabulary im just only 14.

I used to think that too, especially back during the Reagan and Bush Sr. years. They were both good presidents with regard to foreign policy. I don't think that about the current Republicans, especially since the war with Iraq has made us weaker rather than stronger. The Dems aren't much better, but I sure felt better with Clinton in office than I do with the current president.

Good point. The republicans also have a terrible record supporting veterans benefits.
