Why do some liberals deny that terrorist threats exist?

Furthermore, they accuse conservatives of inventing terrorist threats to justify war. Just look at some of my old questions for proof. Please explain in detail why they say such things.

I don't believe that liberals deny that terrorist threats exist, but I do believe they have a different tactic in addressing it. The simple translation from French is : We Surrender!!!!

I find it hard that some say terrorists do not exist. However, in the case of "Nick" he may be referring to the so called 9/11 in which the Twin Towers were crashed into.

I have had many say that this did not happen the way that was told. In fact, many say that the Twin Towers would have survived the crash.

The theory behind this is that they were blown up with dynamite charges set throughout the buildings. In fact, building seven was brought down by explosives hours later and had nothing to do with the planes.

With all that going on, it is small wonder that some are cynical when the terror threat is mentioned. In fact, many do believe Bush and the boys were responsible for the whole fiasco. However, this is too simple.

There are forces behind this that are beyond our control and have very little to do with terror and more so to do with control of the planet. The Illuminati want population control as well as a one world government and will stop at nothing to gain it.

So in closing, you can see why some liberals deny terrorist threats. There is enough information out there to show that everything happening in the world dealing with terror is an illusion. Everything but the dead bodies. Those, I am sorry to say are the only reality here.

Liberals...hard to explain anything about people who usually think they are smarter or somehow more special than your average everyday American...only they can see the truth and only ignorant people are conservative...they like to set up programs to (take care of the people who cant help themselves) more like take control of the money cause were too ignorant to decide how to spend it....they sit inside their comfortable little lifestyles and view the world from a stoop high above the little man deciding whats best for him when the little man didn't ask for help....they believe that talking to world leaders such as n Korea's Kim Jon ill will make him understand and somehow make him a kinder gentler person....they look at war as a profit machine and nothing else because they are too closed minded to see that some people are just evil and no amount of discussion will change their mind....they cant except that sometimes war is the right way to go....this is just my opinion...i have one...sincerely the common man

There are as many answers to the question posed as there are people who hold those beliefs. I can only speak for myself when I say that I do believe there is a terrorist threat, though far less severe than the current administration would like you to believe and I do believe the events that turned a nation of individuals into a flag waving unified throng were planned and orchestrated by the current administration to achieve exactly what happened. They offered to sell the American people a war and we, as a whole, bought it hook, line and sinker.

Look at the the 9/11 incident. Closely. Nothing more needs to be said.

To answer the last part of your question: I say such things because I believe them to be true. I say such things because i am a patriot and support America, the country. I say such things because I'm calling horsepucky on the horsepukyers.

Liberals do not deny terrorist threats, they just do not attack countries that have nothing to do with said threats, killing thousands of innocent people on both sides.

I am a Libertarian (meaning I'm an old style conservative - socially liberal and fiscally conservative) I had no problem when we went to Afghanistan to supposedly get Bin Laden. Iraq had nothing to do with terrorist threats against the U.S., ever.

It's all bullshit. Where the hell is Bin Laden???

As a Libertarian I believe in national defense. Not nation building.

Having read some of the previous comments from the opponents I get a better understand how President Bush was elected. Out of pure unadulterated ignorance.

They try to hold their position by stating exaggerations because of their lack of knowledge of what is truly going on.

It reminds me of a person that has to save face even knowing he is wrong or just plain ignorant.

I believe it is the concervatives that deny the terrorist threats otherwise our shipping ports would have better security (It's in the news)

Refineries sitting next to ballparks and interstates that haven't increased security. (Again it's in the news) What do you think a suicide bomber could do to that.

How about all the chemical facilities that haven't increased their security because they legally don't have to.

Who did you say was in denial or is it just the age old Republican policy to make money and not spend unnecessarily.

,,,,,,,,,,,,the attack of 2001 cost bin laden 100,000 dollars to plan & execute,killed 2800 people,caused 20 billion in damage,billions in insurance,bankrupted airlines,put us into a recession;its taken us 5 yrs to recover,grow jobs,etc.another attack,maybe a terrorist attack plus a second unrelated but serious attack on us,or a natural disaster,could throw us into a 1930s like depression,30 to 50 million people unemployed,50000 people killed,80 billion in damages.at the start of ww2,we had 200 million people.now we have 300 million.china,by comparison in 1996 had 1 billion 200 million people,and a/o 2000 had 1 billion 300 million.they're gonna need a lot of cooking fuel,bricks.mortar,technology,baby bottles,pampers,pens,pencils, plant pots,rice pots.ya can hope that their dealings with us will be peaceful,but that government saw fit to machine gun and blow apart thousands of people at tienmen square,then erased it from historical record,acquired technology from a us company to filter,pull,censor any print or mention of this despicable event.with the chinese now owners of the panama canal,dubai ports managing business for us, we might be headin for the slide which leads to the tube goin down.I think a liberal vision of america would be more of an accelerant than a brake on this process.

We KNOW the threat is heavily exaggerated coz we havn't even STARTED To fight!! If all leftys did fight.. then you'd see real terorrism, just like the Red Brigade did in Italy in the 70's.. you might want to check your history books.. but best to look on the net as American textbooks probably omitted that part of history..

Those "terrorists" were just normal every day people.. students and people who were sick and tired of working for pennys while the ultra rich got away with murder.. THEY HIT BACK!!

Just today i read that New York closed its largest homeless shelter, hospitals across USA are now shutting down due to lac`k of funds.. and worst of all things like NEw Orleans was allowed to even happen.. Those are the things that will cause the biggest terrorism problems in USA.. sure stealing muslim oil will add to it and certainly has.. I'm sure some muslims who lost their families in Iraq are now bent on revenge.. but they're not a real threat as they are all being monitored.. the real threat of terror comes from within.. those you cant see.. those you dont suspect..
