I sat next to a woman in traffic court who was wearing an identical ballcap as I. I was forced to remove mine, she was not. I asked the judge why this was fair that I had to remove an article of my clothing to get justice and she was allowed to keep hers on. I was fined $500 in contempt charges. There is no appeal process in municipal court, and I had to pay or be jailed. The food was lousy!

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his ignorance. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone".

If prostitution was their only charge, not drug possession or anything else, how much are the fines? How long is jail time? In Washington state. And if they were trying to look for other work, what would employers think of their record? Wouldn't they give them some leeway since it's not a violent crime?
I am not one, I was only curious for a friend.

And if you have any websites that would be helpful research tools, please post. Thank you.

From 1993-1996, there were about a thousand more military deaths than in the Iraq war. How can anyone say that our troops are suffering "massive" casualties when there have been less deaths than during four peacetime years under Clinton?
I wish the best for our troops and want them to succeed in their mission with as few losses as possible, but this leftist idea that they are "supporting them" by cutting off their funding and forcing them home is a joke. Our troops are doing an incredible job there under horrible circumstances, and they DESERVE our support, both verbally and financially, as well as our prayers.

My mom has a slipped disk in her back. Before recently
it was just numb on her lower back and down the right
(I think) leg. When I was visiting her for a week in
TX last week, I, who never fall, fell twice on the
sidewalks of the apartment complex she lives in. My
husband stumbled once, and my mom fell once. Now her
back hurts rather than being numb. I'm telling her
she could sue and should get herself a lawyer. This
is because the bricks in the sidewalk are all screwed
up all over that complex! Some of them are raised up
while others are sunken in and there are also small
gaps. Perfect for tripping one up especially at night
when she's coming home from work. She lives about
half an hour from Huston and I'm asking for a good
reference for her for some good legal advice on the
subject. Of course I'd need a lawyer who would
specialize in such things. Thanks a million in
advance!

Liberal Elite are appalling. To them, every Bible believing Christian lives in a trailer park and every Bush supporter lives in a " 'deliverance' state"...

Remember Baldwin when he tried to insult Sean Hannity by calling him a 'construction worker', as if that was an insult?

So what is wrong with living in a Trailer park or a Red Sate? I live in neither, but that doesn't make me a good person. Liberals will get these when the Proletariats wake up and realize these people are not their friends...

I was given relative plcmnt of a child through child protective services. The mother does not support the child in any way & won't even keep the visitation schedule. During mediation she was told that because she did not complete her CPS serv and req that reunification wasn't an option; when told they wanted my family to have legal guardianship, she balked and said that was not what she wanted and wanted her own child back (mind you she has not cooperated at all with anything CPS has asked of her). CPS extended her case for an add'l 6 months and finally CPS got tired of her "bare minimums & excuses" and moved toward termination of her rights. A few weeks before court she called and said "I know I can't take care of my baby but I want my rights" and CPS has backed off of termination. Whave not rcvd any aid at all from CPS/state or the mother & the mother hasn't seen the baby in over 3 months. Why does the birth mother still have a say? What happened to the best interest of the child?

I personally think he did do it,but at the same time i dont think they had enough evidence to convict him of murder,i thought he was gonna be found innocent....O.J had more evidence against him and he got away with murder....and did Scott get a fair trial or was he "considered guilty" before his trial even started?thats not a fare trial if from the begining you are already considered guilty...in my opinion.

I posted this as an answer to another question, but I want to see the response, so....

Isn't it funny how it's practically illegal to be a democrat, yet nearly everyone is sick of current republican policy and leadership, and I guarantee that there is not a president alive who has not quoted JFK in some speech or other. Pres. Reagan often quoted Pres. Roosevelt, who was considered very liberal in his day. I am neither conservative nor liberal, republican nor democrat, but I am so sick of the mudslinging that is coming primarily from conservatives! This is for everyone: If y'all are so great, why can't you come up with more meaningful, thought-provoking political questions than "Why are liberals so stupid?"!!!!!!!!

I may have worded the question wrong but here goes. A friend of mine was wrongfully accused of stealing checks from his job. The company supposedly did a quick investigation, didn't find the stolen property and then fired him. When security escorted him out the building, the police were outside waiting for him, then took him to jail. A few hours later he released and the officers at the jail told him that the charges had been dropped. Was this legal and if not should he seek a lawyer?
