If you were DQ'ed (disqualified) what was the reason? Was it PDQ or TDQ (one is permanent, the other temporary)?
If it's a PDQ, and you tried joining within 2 years, your records will still be on file at that MEPS. (You won't get very far.)
If it's a TDQ for a condition you can heal up from, you'll probably just need a "consult" and a clean bill of health from your doctor. The MEPS doctor will consider that and if you're good to go, will allow you to be medically approved so you can join.
Don't be too worried about boot camp. It's not designed to make you fail, it's designed to build you up and teach you how to work as a team with other soldiers. You'd be surprised how motivating it is just to be working out with other people cheering you on -- sure, the DS yells, but it's strictly business, nothing personal. No one wants to see you fail.
Good luck!

You're brave, and seem to be joining for the right reasons... I have a friend who was in the Army, he says it was the best experiences in his life!!! Traveling to knew places meeting new people, money for education, and the pride that goes along with saying you were in the Army!!! And MEPS really doesn't look at you that hard, the physical was easy, I was sore the day after though, all the duck walks they made us do, the nurse picked me to demonstrate the duck walk to everyone... fun times for me... Why were you DQ'd basically just make sure you go to the doctor about whatever it is and get all the proper test run, you can get a waiver and they will pay for the doctor visit!

It sounds like you have thought about this a little more than most people I know think about their careers. Boot Camp is not that hard. My husband said he'd go back to boot quite honestly. Of course, he's one that loves a physical job....why were you DQ'd from the Marines? Depending on the reason, you may not be able to get in...Keep an open mind....always an open mind. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

The military isn't for everyone but if you think that you have what it takes then go for it. Don't just look at the Army, there are a few services that you would be missing out on. I spent 20 years in the Navy and have been around the world 11 times and seen things that people only dream of.

do no longer sign something the 1st DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! flow to the recruiter and discover out what he or she has to declare. Then flow to the Marine Corps, and the army, and the Airt rigidity to be sure what all of them say. you may desire to be sure a trend arising, by way of fact all the sedrvices have very just about an analogous opportunites. when you artwork out what that's you love to do, and you come across which of the amenities is the main suitable greater healthful for you (it might possibly no longer be the army... perchance that's the Marines or the army... you by no skill know), then get what the recruiter is offering you in writing, and take it to somebody who you have confidence... preferrably somebody who's interior the service and have them element out the spots you may could desire to have an interest in. Then do your study online to be sure while you're being advised the certainty. a tenet could be to unquestionably discover out the place the pinnacle of the dep. of the service you desire to connect is and phone to be sure what they say approximately your grant. one greater factor... basically in view which you signed a settlement skill definitely no longer something... you may get it replaced, or perhaps cancelled at any time you like until eventually you go away for bnasic training/boot camp.

if you are short of money, its a great deal. the benefits are unmatched by any other middle class unskilled job. [if you already have a skill the military can use, they'll let you contribute that. also, there are many skills you can learn in the military. your recruiter will help you find a Military Ocupational Specialty. It's not all gun shooters! (everyone is a gun shooter, but not everyone has "gun shooter" as Military Ocupational Specialty)]

In all honesty, basic training isnt that hard if you have the right mindset going into it. Just remember, nothing the drill sergeants say is personal.
