What happened to the "Mastermind" of the September 11 terrorist attacks? Why did Bush & Co. focus the nation's attention on Iraq and Saddam instead?

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority. "I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

To justify the war, Bush informed Congress on March 19, 2003 that acting against Iraq was consistent with “continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.”

"No, we've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with September the 11th,"- G.W. Bush, 9/17/03

Many people on here specualte that our high paying jobs are going overseas and are being replaced by minimum wage jobs (and typically bash Bush as the cause of this).
Consider, however, that of the predicted top 50 fastest growing jobs over the next 10 years, 33 pay in the top two earning quartiles, while only 5 pay in the bottom quartile.

Can I expect any rational rebuttals, or just the typical liberal Bush-bash rhetoric?

So after WWII and the Holocaust, the British gave the Jews Israel which angered the Palestinians and other Arabs. That in turn made many Palestinians and Arabs angry at he United States for helping Israel in many situations leading up to 9/11 and much hatred towards the U.S.

I'm a 50-year old married woman, and I was parked in a lot, waiting for my husband, when all of a sudden I heard an explosion, and I was thrown out of the car. The 18-year old that hit me with his car had just been fired and was "in a state of rage", was preparing to back out of his parking space, hit the accelerator harshly and crashed into my car. An ambulance came and rushed me to the local hospital. I was diagnosed with severe head trauma, and was in intensive care for a week. To complicate matters,my health prior to the accident was not the best.I suffer from Lupus, and this accident has progressed the nature of the disease. My recovery has been slow and there has been no progress for me to get back to the state of health I was in before the accident. The doctors have told me that I have a shorter lifespan. I have been forced to resign my position as a nurse,as I have been unable to carry out my duties from the pain. My husband and I are living on a limited income; he is retired.

i used to be an assistant manager at my last job, where i held a key to the store. i quit and went back to get my final check, which was for about $600. They said they needed my uniforms and key...I turned in my uniform, but I think I lost my key the week earlier while snowboarding several hours away. The manager said she could not give me the check without the key. How can she hold my $600 when I have no way of retrieving the key hours away buried in the snow. The key only says "do not duplicate" on it, no name of where it goes to. What should I do?

Take a look at his background:

He is a fiscal genious, as he did take over the Salt Lake City Games when it looked like it would be a failure and turned it into a profit for us. He also made sure every citizen in Mass. had healthcare. Romney also wants us to compete better with China and Asia economically. Unlike his democratic opponents, he has a better background such as Hilliary filp-flopping on the war and Obama's lack of experience.

So why wouldn't you vote for Mitt Romney, if you aren't going to , and why do you support him if you do?

They think it was an "illegal invasion," right? Saddam was an innocent victim, right? He should still be alive, at the helm, going out for falafel with his sons and laughing over the beatings they're administering to the national soccer team, right?

So if Obama wants to win the Democrat primary, shouldn't he call himself B. Hussein Obama?

Every day you pick up a newspaper today and there is a shooting here, a killing there. More young people have lost there lives in far greater numbers than in the past. Then we have the military sending innocent boys off to war to be killed. Does the Government realize the valuable resource we have in "KILLERS" existing in our society. Does anyone agree that instead of going to prison where tax payers have to foot the bill as they (killers) lay around most of the day in the pretense of rehabilitation that we should send those persons to the war where they can put their gun loving craft to good use saving some of of innocent youth to become viable members of society? We would still be paying the taxes to support the military but at the same time giving fresh young minds a chance to build families and accentuate society.
