I've tried return to sender, but to no avail. It's been over years and I'd like it to stop.

Only first class mail is forwarded on (or stopped) Third Class mail can be addressed to Sadam or Ossama or John Wilkes Booth and it will still be stuffed into your mail box. The post office makes a good profit on delivering 3d class mail so don't expect them to assist in cutting it down.

Short of writing to the sender (which is an iffy solution at best), all you can do is recycle the mail.

Now if any of the mail has a first class stamp you CAN write return to sender - no longer at this address and it WILL go back to the ender.. otherwise.. the technical term is SOL.

sorry...

So much of this mail is computer generated and it is a matter of time before it will stop. Do not destroy anyone's mail, as that is an offence, just put a slash mark through the address and put back into the mail-box. Best wishes

I use old tenants' mail as kindling for my fireplace. The post office won't stop sending it.

Go to the post office and let them know that he/she no longer lives there and you do not have a forwarding address that should stop it.

Use it for kitty litter or recycle it. No need to waste it.
