Sorry I didn't know I was being directed to the idiot channel. Long enough to be a great president if you call doing nothing positive great! He has done plenty of negatives though. He doubled the national debt in four years, unemployment is still what it was four years ago, he did not keep one promise he made to the AMERICAN people! The only thing that Obama has been successful at is FAILING!

He has been in politics for 10 years, 8 as an IL state Senator and 2 as a US senator.
Most noteably when he was in the IL state senate,Barack Obama was named chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. Among his legislative initiatives, Obama helped to author an Illinois Earned Income Tax Credit that provided benefits to lower-income families, worked for legislation that would support residents who could not afford health insurance, and helped pass bills to increase funding for AIDS prevention and care programs.
Some of the same concerns that we have nationally he dealt with at the state level successfully

He served a term in the Illinois senate and is a new US senator. Those are his highest ranking political positions. I find it interesting that this was a far less important issue when former Texas governor George Bush ran for President. It is widely accepted that the main force in Texas is the Lt. Governor.

Not that long. Maybe 15 years, which inlcudes local and state governments. On the Federal level he has been in the Senate for 4 years (I think).

Not long, that might be just what we need, someone who the lobbyist and corporations have not gotten to yet. I am looking for a Representative of the people`s will for president not someone who knows best.
