The conservative male seems to fallow father figures and protectionist instead of representatives. Because the woman does not fit the father figure image as a strong protectionist, do you think the conservative male has evolved enough to vote for a woman even if the issues line up.

I don't really think that it is an issue of conservative versus liberal. It is an issue of whether a woman is strong enough to do what it takes to be President of the United States. Is a woman going to do things based on emotion? Is she going to refuse to go to war because women, by nature, are more passive. Men and women have different strong points. I am a conservative female and I don't think I would even vote for a conservative female running for president.

I will play your game. I am Conservative and my answer is yes if the right one runs. You idea of a conservative male doesn't fit me because I don't look for a father figure as you say. IMO the people who think that all of their needs are supposed to be filled by their government and not by self reliance are the ones looking for a father figure. If a woman runs on fixing the borders, not raising taxes, not bailing on Iraq, and not providing lazy bums all of their wants and needs then she would get my vote. Condi might fit the bill.

Only if that woman were a conserative female. You can bet your last buck that if Hillary were a repub, she would have all the support that the conservatives could round up. And , I will say that a lot of conservative women are going to vote for Hillary. They want a woman as Prez as well as the Dem women.

I think so, it depends on their views. I willing to bet that conservatives would rather have Condoleezza Rice instead of Hillary Clinton. How would the World treat a female U.S. President. The ruler I mean "elected President " of Iran wouldn't shake Diane Sawyers hand for an interview because of Islamic belief.

Of course. We just can't ACCEPT morons who can't spell.

Maybe you should try a little less projection and just admit that it's you who has the problem with a female president? I don't think a female president would be a bad thing. Many countries have had females in high places, they are still surviving. I personally care about the issues a candidate runs on, not whether or not said candidate has a penis.

Uh...hello? The current Republican administration has more women, in higher places, than did any Democrat administration before them.
I think most conservatives would have no problem with a woman as president. Condi Rice is an oft favoured name.

You obviously haven't evolved enough to understand conservative males. You obviously think according to political stereotypes.

Conservative males most certainly can live with a conservative female as President.

I am a conservative male, in my opinion, and I would vote for a woman, but NOT for Hillary Clinton. I do not like her and never did. Something about her screams EVIL WITCH.

But, I would vote for a woman if I thought she were truthful.

The conservative male can except or accept a woman president. You can't generalize.

Sure. We loved Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of Great Britain. We were fine with appointing the first female supreme court justice. We were fine with appointing the first female (and first black) Secretary of State and National Security Advisor. I think that's fairly evolved.

Why not a President of the U.S.?
