Despite the clear separation of Religion and State, empty headed citizens still fall for the 'you have to be Christian to be President' nonsense.

Doesn't this just encourages Hypocrites to the Highest Office.?
Haven't we learned anything from the present incumbent?

If he has Christian values then I am a Buddhist. Both unlikely

I was just curious, since he was shot in a convertible, did they make all presidents after that, ride in bullet proof cars?

They don't remember double digit inflation. They don't remember double digit unemployment. They don't remember gas lines. They've never known anything but the almost-uninterrupted quarter century of prosperity that we've had since Ronald Reagan reversed many of the Keynesian economic policies that had resulted in an economy measured by the "misery index."

They now seem to take economic good times for granted.

This is in part because Clinton, while he reformed welfare, expanded free trade agreements, cut corporate taxes, deregulated the financial services industry and did almost nothing to reverse Reagan's economic policies, was a Democrat - - - they seem to think that Dean / Pelosi / Kennedy et al, who consistently opposed these policies whether implemented by a Republican or a Democrat, would produce the same results.

I've long argued that Econ 101 should be part of the high school curriculum. Should Economic History be taught too?

How would bad credit effect me when I attempt to immigrate to the UK? I am not a bum, I just can't find a job that pays a decent wage.

Romney is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). Do you think this should have any effect on his candidacy.
When John Kennedy ran in 1960 people said if he was elected the Pope would run our country. He was elected and no such thing happened. When Jimmy Carter was elected the Southern Baptists didn't take over. Why should it be any different with Romney.

What happened to fun 'debates' where everyone communicated the positive and negative facts about their party... and laughed together? It seems that people are so cut throat now, they do not want to see anything positive in any other political party except theirs.
EVERY party has its pluses and minuses.
When I talk to people about politics, I am finding more and more people hide behind a label and spew out facts they heard on the news.
They never explain their research into their political belief or how they support their political view in daily life. After the fact spewing they move into name bashing.
It has become so stupid!
Where is the name calling getting anyone?

This following poem is composed entirely of actual quotes from George W. Bush.

Make the Pie Higher

I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen
And uncertainty
And potential mental losses.

Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the internet
Become more few?
How many hands have I shaked?

They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish
Can coexist.

Families is where our nation finds hope
Where our wings take dream.
Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher!
Make the pie higher!

9/11, Hurricane Katrina, et cetera, et cetera. It seems that every disaster that strikes America (or elsewhere) can never be what it seems. Its always an "inside job" or a "attack by a technologically advanced nation" or, what seems to pop up the most now, "Bush's fault."

Why can't people just accept that things just HAPPEN, and that natural disasters actually DO happen and terrorists DO attack without it being an inside job?

If Israel destroys the Arab world so be it. If the Arab world destroys Israel so be it. If they both end up destroying each other, who cares?

I think it's best to NOT be involved.

That if you were to wager your entire net worth($, house, car, etc...) they were 90% certain that you would win the Powerball Jackpot would you make that bet?

Now compare that statement with the UN Commisions report on climate change. Just because a consensus of the scientists on the panel agreed on the 90% likelyhood wording are you willing to put out economy on the line based on those odds?

Victims of bogus, hateful, subversive websites that promote falsehoods ?

Years ago, we got our news from News Anchors whose Integrity was EVERYTHING . Rarely did anyone make a mistake and broadcast anything biased or untruthful . The News Anchors relied on their TRUSTWORTHINESS, rather than HYPE, OPINION, or WEBSITE GARBAGE(there was no internet) .

Although the Liberals try to claim that they're all adults, we all know that many or most of our youth now, and before, were/are of a general liberal mind-set . And the internet is largely used by our younger generations . We, older folk, could've been fooled as well, if we were exposed to nonsense everywhere we looked .

So, are Liberals on this site victims of bogus reporting ?

with all the christians that croud the churchs weekly.hearing the word of God and how we are to treat each other in our daily lives.can turn their backs on children that are created in the image of THE MOST HIGH GOD.That needs to be shown THE LOVE OF GOD in a very tramatic time in their life. There should never be a shortage of care givers.Christians Should open their homes and hearts to these children and families and share the wisdom of God
I have witnessed churchs that will not and does not feel that they should be involved in this on going problem. It is so easy to close your eyes and heart and let this country destroy itself .There are so many things that can be changed by simply following THE LAW OF LOVE that was given as a commandment by THE MOST HIGH GOD. In a country such as ours that is as prospers as we are.Can not unite and solve this ongoing problem I cannot understand. The children are our future,if we let them down, aren't we letting ourselves down in this nation?

The Confederate flag represents pure hatred and oppresion, th confederates were the worls largest terrorist ever known, Confedertae vaterans deseved death and the white southern decendants should have been used as govermant lab rats, the southeners are the weirdest creatures on the planet and supportiong a barbaric flag ( confederate swatiska) only proves that. Southerners created more brutal acts on blacks and indians than hitler did on jews and stalin on russians, the south should be held responsible for their barbaric actions
