Why is it when you search police brutality, Yahoo comes up with 3,790,000 sites about abuse by police?

Why is it, if cops are so great, I just put "police brutality" in and Yahoo came up with 3,790,000 sites, all sorts of accounts of police brutality, using torture such as applying electricity to innocent people to get them to confess to crimes while the real perpetrator roams the streets. Attorney Blake Horwitz won a $28,000,000 lawsuit against the police in Chicago, largest police brutality verdict in the Midwest, 12 lawsuits filed in one day against the city of Blue Island, excessive force and false arrests made just to generate money for the village, false allegations that men were soliciting prostitutes, class action on behalf of 900 men, gee wonder why they need organizations like police-watch and copwatch, who could be proud to be affilliated with the police dept, and did you hear about the cop in, I think it was Florida, who had to pay $35,000 for making a young girl, I think 16, jump up and down with no clothes on, so be proud to be a cop, we know what you guys are really like.

my friend is moving in with (i believe) a convicted felon. he is on parole. my friend wants to become a cop in a few years. what are the laws with this. does it hurt his chance of becoming a cop???

After getting a raise what is the legal length of time allowed before it appears on your paycheck?

I received my 3 month raise on Jan.6th, 2007. Today Feb. 2nd, it JUST appeared on my weekly paycheck just today, almost 1 month later. Legally, do they have to implement a raise in a certain amount of time?

How can the US and UK citizens keep our govs.from moving closer to Fascism?

I am trying to (single-handedly it seems sometimes) make Americans aware that we are dangerously letting our current administration move closer to Fascism. We now have The Patriot Act. And a new 2007Defense Authorization Act which if you read the text included in this link

Are you seeing any changes or new legislation similar to it in the UK?
