They promised to put party affiliation aside! They promised to be open to both sides of the issue. The Blue Dogs were supposed to be moderate middle of the road politicians. And already they are blaming the Repulicans for stalling a number of issues in the house and senate, in which they have control!

This country was founded by a group of men willing to question its governors.

Is questioning the judgment of our elected officials patriotic? Seems there are a lot of posters on here that equate disagreeing with Bush with lack of patriotism.

Which is more patriotic -- blindly following a leader who is prone to error, or questioning the judgment and seeking to limit the power of a reckless public official?

Isn't this a country where the government doesn't have control over you? Wouldn't privatinzing health care make taxes lower and mkae irresponsible people less dpendant on the government? Liberals make a big deal about how privatizing government run things are so bad, but why?
Also- i know i probably spelled some things wrong, so no need to remind me

Thanks!

would we be better off if every eligible citizen just drew straws every couple of years to see who will be president?
Why elect someone with an agenda? Why not have a citizen president?

so why continue the assumption that he would have smuggled nuclear (or chemical) bombs out of Iraq into his forsworn enemies hands, namely Iran and Syria? You do realize he would have rather ate the uranium than hand it over to a country he despised. Also, even tho Osama and Saddam were both Sunni, why keep insisting Al-Queda played a big part of Iraqs terror cells. Every country over there has their own cells, of that I have no doubt, but Osamas Wahibism, could not have allowed him to befrien d a Baathist, don't you agree.

As I understand it, Iraq has licensed Iran to open a bank in Baghdad. Bush is going ballistic at the news. Why? It's really none of our business who opens a bank in Baghdad. Just think about it...Can you imagine anyone butting into our business and telling us who can and who cannot do business in our country? We would not stand for that! Why do we think that Iraq/Iran should stand for it? And don't even bother answering this question by responding with "If we don't fight the terrorists over there; we'll have to fight them over here". What does that have to do with a bank opening in Iraq? Nothing; that's what.
As you can probably deduce, I've had answers to previous questions that were critical of Bush and I'm not impressed with the literacy or analytical thinking of some responses. Nevertheless; Bush needs to go. That's all there is to it.

I wonder how many documents he actually stole. I bet Clinton had his hands in this. Sandy knew if he didn't dispose of the documents indicting Clinton's derelection of duty, he would end up like Ed Willey.

Military Times publishes 4 newpapers geared towards current and former US military personnel: Air Force Times, Army Times, Navy Times, & Marine Corps Times. This is not the "liberal media". These papers are sold on military bases and read regularly by active-duty military. They are highly respected, and most of the editors and writing staff are retired military.

Military Times recently polled active-duty military members on their attitudes about the war in Iraq. These are some results:

"For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s handling of the war than approve of it. Barely 1/3 of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war."

"...in this year’s poll only 41 percent of the military said the U.S. should have gone to war in Iraq in the first place, down from 65 percent in 2003."
