As I understand it, Iraq has licensed Iran to open a bank in Baghdad. Bush is going ballistic at the news. Why? It's really none of our business who opens a bank in Baghdad. Just think about it...Can you imagine anyone butting into our business and telling us who can and who cannot do business in our country? We would not stand for that! Why do we think that Iraq/Iran should stand for it? And don't even bother answering this question by responding with "If we don't fight the terrorists over there; we'll have to fight them over here". What does that have to do with a bank opening in Iraq? Nothing; that's what.
As you can probably deduce, I've had answers to previous questions that were critical of Bush and I'm not impressed with the literacy or analytical thinking of some responses. Nevertheless; Bush needs to go. That's all there is to it.

Bush said he'd bring Democracy to Iraq. The people elected Shiites. Now Bush is upset that the "democratically elected" Shiite government are allies with Iran?

Because Bush is the "Decider" and just like Dems are not allowed to have an OK idea, neither is Iran.

Maybe he is worried about money orders to Iraq to make bombs with?

because we want to be the country to influence iraq. we went there to free them, yet we oppose a militia that wants iraq to be independent and free from any countrys influence. we declare a group as "terrorists" that wants to overthrow irans style of government. i get the feeling it is all a game and we are being lied to.

We care because Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism, and anything that could be used to funnel funding to insurgents/terrorists is a concern of the United States.

That is the primary concern - that the Iranian Bank will be used as a cover by which support is given to enemies of the new Iraqi regime.

Isn't it interesting those who bristle at anything foreign influencing the US turn around and think it's great we can violate the sovereignty of another country? Hypocrisy.

For your information, we do control who does business here. Bush told Iran to butt out, and they do this, of course he's mad. For all we know, this bank can be used to fund terrorism and extremism.
