Due to minor convictions and a TWO year overstay, I was deported to the UK Dec 04. It is causing great hardship as I have no family or anyone here. I only have my US born husband who is unable to be here with me , even though we tried, due to loss of his work. It is a very desperate situation and we no longer have the finance for lawyers, etc...
I have suffered with a loss of a baby and family members in addition and this is taking a toil to be away from my husband.

The girl who just got banned from wearing a cross on a necklace at school because it was a health and saftey hazard, and she thinks it is perfectly safe and she is banned because it is a christian symbol.

It is a health and saftey hazard, it could get caught on something and she could end up being strangled.
Sikhs are only allowed to wear a bangle because it is an almost compolsary part of their religion and they are, in some schools, asked to wear a sweat band over it.

She should not be wearing it! It is against school rules!

How can the government deny two legal adults from getting married, just because they are the same sex? To the government marriage is just a legal contract between two people. The gender of the two adults shouldn't have anything to do with the situation.

In Paterson NJ cop was recently shot. Despite over 100 officers working on case - no break yet. Do police departments have covert CIA like departments which, like the CIA, "bend" the law in the interest of National of City security? If so, they can outfit guns with GPS or even cameras, release them to the public (sorta like a confidential informant), and then trace the gun and/or its video when used in a crime... Seems it is cheaper than employing 100 officers to solve a crime.

I just read a question that another member posted, im a little angry that the president is letting all illegal immigrants amnesty and letting them have our social services(social security medicaid etc) when in fact its a well known fact that when our children need those services there will be none, not to mention that even right now its practically impossible to get these services for my parents that were born and raised here and worked their lives away and paid their dues, and yet a foreign person( mexican) can waltz right in as long as they can get past the fence and border patrol and then steal what they have no right to touch(my opinion) our pay rates have declined and over half of the blue collar workers are minorities, so im asking this when they take our money and jobs and our parents savings why on earth do some of you not see a problem with this, and then get so mad when one of us stands up and express" our anger about it? this wouldnt happen in mexico, so why complain??

it is unbelievable to me that anyone could consider a fetus as just a " mass of tissue ". have you ever seen a sonogram of a 5 month old fetus???? it moves, it's heart beats, it has all appendages. at 6 month it can survive ( with help of course ) outside the womb !! and yet aborting such a fetus is NOT murder? perhaps you pro-abortion people should move to China where the second pregnancy is automatically aborted.

An overwhelming majority of you vote Democrat, claiming that this party "helps" black people. I would like to know specifically how? I asked this similar question on a previous thread and did not get a good answer. Some of the answers included, "Democrats favor welfare, affirmative action, raising the minimum wage..." Do you as black citizens feel stereotyped by these statements? Like they think you can't get jobs so you need a program to "give" you a job (affirmative action)? Or they think that because you are black you are on welfare? Or if you have a job you are only making minuimum wage?

I find all of this incredibly insulting to the black population and wonder why more of you aren't speaking out against and voting against some of the elected officials who are promising you all of this stuff to get your votes?

I also want to ask, what do rich, white, elitist politicians like Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and Al Gore have to offer you?

I was abused by my govt and am a sadomasochist military man now. I want to get locked up in super extreme brig boot, all this stuff about US torture of prisoners and my own experiances mades me have disgust of them but on the other hand, I desire to eat ie experience further tortures. Lets see... to fight we dont need only a reason, but also we need resources and health of fighters and their equipment. So... how it “cheers” military players that future is going to stand against humanity endurance to survive and become a third enemy to focus their force to maintain their own lives and civilians they are supposed to serve against disasters you should carefully foreseen? I think no Republican can win these days without grass roots support from the religious right. But the Republicans are desperately trying to move to the left after Bush...leading candidates are liberals like Guiliani, McCain, and Romney.

That's not a problem they are going to fix in less than 2 years. I don't care who the Democrats run, it looks like the Republicans will be their own worst enemy in 2008.
