Time will tell, yet i imagine that that's a good flow. It promises continuity at a time even as the Democratic social gathering has a range of status up for its concepts or splintering lower than the onslaught suffered in the abode. Obama ran on a promise of replace... replace from conservative rules, no longer replace in liberal recommendations. the large slide in rankings is likewise the top results of an unrelenting campaign of lies and distortions from the right, escalating up by skill of the election. i have been round when you consider that Harry Truman grow to be inaugurated, and this very last election exceeds in deception some thing because the terrors of the McCarthy era. immediately, the administration has a range of holding quickly like the Republicans did in the only excellent 2 years, or caving in and handing the keys back to the different aspect. We do certainly stay in interesting circumstances.

It's so interesting that people keep thinking everyone is against what them democrats are doing. Let's take a look at a CNN poll:
87% of Americans favor letting the government negotiate with drug companies over prescriptions.
85% approve raising the minimum wage
84% favor cutting interest rates on student loans
79% favor creating an independent panel to oversee House ethics.
77% favor a major policy change in Iraq.
64% favor implementing all of the 9/11 commission reccomendations
63% favor not privatizing social security
62% favor funding stem cell research
49% favor reducing tax breks for oil companies
41% favor no new psending unless they can find a way to pay for it
So, out of 10 initiatives, 8 have the support of a majority of Americans and the other two both have greater than 40%
It seems like the democratic congress is doing stuff people want them to do so I doubt they'll vote them out anytime soon.

Nancy Pelosi is not part of the "good old boys" network. Is that why you are putting her down? Is it because she is a progressive and not a regressive? Is it because she doesn't hand the Congress over to Bush carte blanche, but instead requires him to justify and explain his actions? Or is it because the vast majority of Americans reject the Bush (Republican) course for America?

As long as 2/3 of the voters think the Reps are miserable in their leadership roles, I don't think that even Pelosi can live up to anything worse, however, she still has in her favor the fact that Bush has two more years, and He could always make things even more favorable for the Dems

Absolutely, everything the Democrats ran on they will do nothing about. The only possible outcome of them pushing through the agenda they set forth pre election will either show them as weak and un-American or as far left wackos that push whats best for their party rather than what's best for America. Their only possible option is to sort of sit back and hope GWB fails in Iraq. No matter what he proposes they will just sit back and not take responsibility so they can continue to claim this is his war not theirs. I pray the far left becomes extinct in the once great Democratic party.

The Democrat Leaders had a big meeting about that very thing.
The strategy is stay pretty low until after 2008.
Their plan is to appear moderate until a Democrat is elected president.
They know that too many socialist/communist bills would hurt their chances in 2008.
Everything with them is a political trick.

No. Pelosi's approval ratings are rising, and most Americans think the Bush Loyalists are just resorting to character assassination on another powerful woman. In other words, you are still out of touch and getting further out there every day.

You know what was classic? Seeing the Republican from Georgia cry and claim that Dems were antifamily because the work week had increased. Playtime is over, time to get stuff done. Who could argue with that ?
