Serious answers ONLY please. People who give useless answers like "Because Bush is a fanatical monkey" will be reported.

Bush would make the majority of US citizens happy by spending billions of dollars on programs that are already underfunded, like education, new energy sources, fixing economic problems, the mental health care system, etc. Instead, he insists on spending tons of money on Iraq without improving other programs. Now he wants to increase spending even more and send even more of our troops when people are already upset over soldiers dying.

He must have an extremely good reason to place the importance of this war so highly above all else. What is it?

Also, what percentage of the population supports his current spending decisions and want him to keep spending billions on war?

Again- SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE. I hope I didn't sound fanatical or unreasonable in phrasing my question. I want a real answer, and if you just start randomly Bush bashing, I will report you.

My maternal Grandmother was born in Chicago to Irish parents. She has lived her entire life in Ireland and the UK, and has an Irish passport. Her birth certificate does, however, say "Chicago".

I am English, and have quite a few cousins/aunts still living in the US from the Irish side of my family (relatives of my Grandmother).

I'm trying to get a visa to live and work in the US, but not become a permanent citizen. Does the above help me in any way?

I have never been convinced that foreign terrorists were behind 9/11. In fact, I think it's our own government attempting to move us from a free country to one of Serfdom. After all, for the past 90 years, private ownership has been stolen from us. You cannot own a home because if you don't pay property taxes, the government takes it. Same for land in the wilderness, your car, your freaking VCR in the state of West Virginia for God's sake.

So, when I read COMPLETE BULL like this:

http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2007/01/911.html

I just have to wonder when people are going to wake up and realize what is really going on here in this Country of ours?

I've always found it very ironic that the right wing conservatives claim ownership of the religious highground. I seriously doubt Jesus would be in favour of higher military spending, doing less for the poor, cutting education, obstructing healthcare for the less fortunate, harming the environment as much as they can get away with, circumventing constitutional rights, violating positive relations with neighbours, lying on a regular basis, supporting corruption, giving tax cuts to the wealthy etc.....

Most of the immigration that happens to the US is because Powerfull countries ( like the US ) have to screw up other countries and exploit them to stay on top, therefore these poor people that live in miserable conditions, mainly becuase of your gobernments have no choice but to go look for a better way of life

That people are with us or against us?

And if he was wrong, what about Hillary Clinton who said:
"Every nation has to either be with us, or against us. Those who harbor terrorists, or who finance them, are going to pay a price."

Since President Bush is such a "Nazi" for saying so, is Hillary Clinton one as well? Or is this another famous Democrat double standard?
