Allow me to clarify. As an Air Force vet raised in a family of vets, I'm not questioning supporting the "all voluteer" troops who have NO SAY in where they are sent. if you support the war what prevents you from packing a bag and going over there other than cowardace and fear? Go there and cook for the troops. Go there and kick down doors. Don't send packages. Don't write letters. Get up and go there or forever hold your peace.

This is an VERY EASY question to Answer.
First of all Americans LOVE to tell others to do things that they themselves would never do.
Seconds, America is NOW the Fattest country in the world, How can they Go fight a war when they cant even get their Azz off the couch.

Also Politics, Americans have more uneducated hypocritical people in the world then Educated people so what happens is we PICK the wrong people to run our country and always end up paying for it.

Hope this answered your question and YES I was born and Bred In America. I'm just not one of the Lucky Fat Lazy ones I guess.

* Note Added* For those who think I'm Wrong well then answer this question How many Polititians children are In our countrys military ? The numbers are ALMOST NONE and here is the answer to this.

1st- Our Country's Military Focuses on Young Men and Woman whos families DO NOT have the money to pay for collage. So in order for a young adult to become something without spending $30 + thousand dollers a year for collage there is funding.

2nd- This is why Military Advertisments on TV always offer Nice Sign on bonuses along with Free Collage. The government knows that these kids need something to better their lifes and this is a Fast Easy Quick Fix, Join the Military and not only serve your country but serve others as well.

3rd- NOW who helps promote these Scholorships and Small Petty benifits that seem to be so good ? Well people with Money and Polititans. Why ? so their childred dont have to and it takes away some guilt if there is any For their children NOT joining.

4th- The schooling these young kids learn arent of any use when they rejoin Civilian population and try to get a job. When these young kids come back into society What they have learned in their school will only help them in Military life style. Think about it, Why would the military spend thousands of dollers on schooling to Not have a good use for What is needed at the time.
Heres a few examples and I have friends in the Military.

1-Diesal machanic, Ya ok
2-Computer Programming, Well its only for military software.
3-Military police, This does help if you want to be a cop. Now go compete with the other Civilians and minority and now try to get placed. It does help BUT you still have to take that Civil Service Exam and unless you get a nice 98 or above you arent going to be picked. Trust me on it.

So why wont supporters go fight in Irak Because they dont have to, the Uneducated are Brain Washed in to doing it for them.
Think about it, if No one joined the damn Military to fight wars other then DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY , If that was in the Agreement that the only time you would be forced to fight war was if America was under attack then Their wouldnt be a damn war now would there be ?

I served as well. We are not war supporters in the context that the asker thinks however. We are patriots supporting out country and doing our best to make sure another 9/11 never happens. Maybe you don't think that is a worthy or honorable goal but I do. I'm not supporting the war because I Iike killing and bloodshed. No hates a war more than a soldier who has been in one. And few support other soldier like those of us who have been there and done that, or the families of those that have. A better question might be is why are so many war protesters willing to stick their head in the sand an hope the issue of terrorist will just go away?

That is ridiculous...it isn't their job. That is the job of the military. Troops may not know where they are going to be sent, but they know that before they join the military. They know the risks before they sign-up, and if they don't like them, they shouldn't sign up. It's a dangerous job, I agree, but it's not like that is a mystery to anyone. They are doing their job just like the rest of us are doing ours.

So here's what I have to say to you...Why don't the war opponents shut the F**K up and let the military do its job? Do you really think it makes their state of mind better to know that people back home don't even believe in what they are fighting for? Talk to someone who's been there...most troops believe in what they are doing, and that is all that matters.

It doesn't matter whether or not I agree with the war...I think that as Americans our job is to support the men & women who are fighting!

I am a desert Storm vet, served in the Army as an 11b Airborne. That’s infantry to you civilian’s lol. I am medically discharged; I have two bad compression fractures in my back and three disks with bad bulges in them. After 9-11 I did everything I could to get back in but the fact is I can't physically do it anymore. If I could I would be back over there in a minute. Not that I may agree with the war (I personally believe it was a bad decision) but because I recognize that there are things bigger than myself and countless numbers of brave men and women made the ultimate sacrifice so I could live free. I would sacrifice some of my time, some of my blood, sweat, and tears, and even my life if necessary so that others can continue to live free. Even if they take that for granted every free day of their lives.

We do not love war, but we see the reason for this one. We are too old to volunteer to be in the military, and our daughter is too young, but our nephew put in over a year in Iraq and just recently came home.

HOWEVER, we do other things to support our troops and their families. We work with an organization called TAPS, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, that helps people who lose a loved one in active duty. My husband has been on their Board, and I help plan their events. We do this as volunteers, not for pay. It is a great organization made up of wonderful people.

My brother is there....I don't love war, but I support the cause. You need to think about the things you say. Lots of us have family over there.

That logic is fairly typical of the American liberal. Do you support the picking up of garbage? I do, but I don't actually pick up garbage. You see, a person can support an activity without actually doing it.

War they love so well? No one loves war, but some seem to understand that there is a reason for it! It is our duty and obligation to restore order there, period. Like Powell said, "You broke it, you own it." We removed their government and now it is our job to help stabalize their government.

exactly, They are just ******* and are probably afraind of what the government will do if they speak against bush,

They can't speak their minds so they let bush speak it for them, I didn't think there was anyone more retarded than bush, but then these people surfaced.

nad actually not every soldier agrees with the war,
My dad spent two tours over there, and both times he comes back and says the same thing,
More pointless than the Vietnam war.
He just wants to make sure Bush doesn't take atvantage of the situation and turn the government into the spying big brother dictatorship.
So no, quite a few soldiers don't agree, the liberals sitting in office making the notions to GO to war, are sitting behind their safe little desk, why ( for one the illegal immigrants you talk down upon so much) families go through imense heartbreak, because SOMEONE is too scared and lazy to go look for Bin Laden himself,
And did you not know we are at TWO wars,

One in Afghanistan, for the terrorists, and the other in iraq for nuclear weapons, They are in fact two different wars going on at the same time.

Nice to see you all support the destruction of our ONLY planet
