I live in New Mexico, registered Republican.

John McCain is my first choice. I was a big McCain supporter when I was in grad school in 2000, and still think his policies would be the best for the country. But honestly, I think his time has probably passed and he could not win the Republican nomination.

So my second choice is Rudy Giuliani, but unfortunately both political parties seem to have the nomination processes controlled by other than those in the center. So I think Giuliani also has less of a chance than is being speculated now.

My bet is that Mitt Romney will win the Republican nomination, Hillary Clinton the Democratic nomination. The election will almost be a tossup and Romney will win by a very narrow margin (mostly because I don't want to think about it and admit that I really think Hillary has a super chance of becoming the next president).

I'm a KS Republican and I think I would vote for Sam Brownback, or possibly Rudy Guiliani. I know for certain I would NOT vote for Hillary, John Edwards, John Kerry, or Al Gore.

Out of those choices, Al Gore. He's the only Democrat who shares my views and has the experience to act on them.

However, I would also like to add as a write-in candidate Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico. I would support him over anyone else mentioned so far.

California Democrat

JOHN EDWARDS! I encourage all of you to visit his site at johnedwards.com to learn a little more about who he is and what he stands for. In a nutshell, he stands up for the middle class and those who are not as fortunate. In my opinion, he is the most genuine politician in America and I throw 100% of my support behind him. I like Obama and Gore as well and quite frankly, any combination of Obama, Edwards, and Gore would be awesome. But i supported Edwards in 04 and I will support him yet again in 08. He is truly a fanominal man and not your typical hypocritical politician who lets partisanship in front of values. Please consider Edwards in 08 and get involved in the campaign for One America because Tomorrow Starts Today!
