This depends. If you were breaking the law at the intersection that you were cited at, then you won't win. If the wrong address was written down in order to show an illegal action that would have been legal at the intersection where it actually happened.. then yes.. you can fight it. Also if the intersections were in different jursidictions you can fight it... although they will just move the citation to the court with jursidication.

The simple fact is this.. did you break the law? If so, the judge isn't going to consider a 'mis-print' as suffiencent cause to dismiss.

Hope this helps.

some states yes to that.

you can win sometimes just by showing up. -sometimes the cop doesn't show so it is thrown out.

you can win sometimes by asking the judge for leniency. -if you have a good driving record, etc. then he might throw it out or defer it.

you can win sometimes by working out a deal with the DA before you go in front of the judge. -these days the courts just want your money so a 5 over speeding ticket could be brought down to impeding traffic which carries with it only a fine and no points.

you can win sometimes by actually fighting it. get a lawyer and show em you mean business. - have charts and graphs and 10 x 12 glossy photo's of the crime scene....lol

......I bet if it reached all the way to the juror's decision you would win because those people drive and get tickets too. In my world people should stick together on this ticket issue we have going on...seems states are using the police to make money to balance their budget instead of fighting crime for which our taxes pay for already. jerks.

You can dispute any traffic ticket but it would cost you more to fight it than it would to pay it. As far as being the wrong intersection well its your word against the police officers, but if you do fight it definantly bring it up in court maybe you can get the fine or points reduced.

It depends...if you were cited for a stop sign or stop light, there should be one at the intersection that he wrote on the ticket. If there isn't, you would have a good chance.

Only if you can prove you were not in that intersection. However in some jurisdictions, ANY mistake made on citation as to date, time, license plate number and location can be grounds to dismiss the ticket

It really depends on the jurisdiction you are in. Most judges would find you guilty if your only defense was the mistake on the ticket. Then again there are judges that will dismiss the ticket in a heartbeat.
