Ok, I went to my local mall today, where there is a best buy. I went into the Best Buy at 10:00 AM, I walked through the door, and next to the door, there is a customer service/ receipt checking stand. I walk maybe 5 feet into the store, and the guy at the stand called me over. He asked me "How old are you?" To which I replied "17". He then said "You cant be here, you have to leave, you can come back at 3:00", and he then followed me to the door. I was maybe in the store a total of 30 seconds. Keep in mind, there were other people shopping in the store. I was so dumbfounded that I didn't even reply. I just wanted to look at Pink Floyd Cd's, I didn't realize that there was an age limit.

Also, for the record, I have never stolen anything, and I buy alot of items from this Best Buy. I have never done anything that would promote them not to allow me into the store.

My Question is, is this legal? Can Best Buy do this?

Could a Cuban exile ever return to Cuba (eg vacation, see a friend or just anything) as long as Fidel is in power?

A friend just recently learned that her son is made to set on the boarding/unloading steps of the school bus while transporting children to school as a disciplinary action for her (overly active) kindergartner. This sounds like a very dangerous and maybe unlawful decision by the bus driver. I've looked around on the internet and have'nt been able to find any rules or saftey laws. Anyone know where I might find som info?

We all know that the government takes our money and when we reach a certain age we get back some of it , but would we not be better off if we could invest some of that money in a private retirement account. All calulations show that americans would be getting between 2 and 3 times what the government now pays, and here is the huge injustice if after 40 years of work and hundred of thousands of dollars paid in, you drop dead on your 60th birthday the government keeps all that money at least if it was your account you could leave that wealth to your heirs the average black male lives to about 62 that means he is contributing to a system without any return on his investment if this is such a good system why is congress exempt from it.

Do they really think that if they make it illegal to own a firearm that people are going to line up to hand theirs over? I'd like to see Hilary Clinton come to Montana and try that. The there is talk of banning some types of cooking oil. I think that if I have a store and I use high fat oil and people like it I should be able to use it. People know fried food isn't good for them, it's just good and they want it. I have also heard about banning tobacco. I hope they do that. People won't stop smoking, bootlegged cigs will be worth their weight in gold. I will make me some money like the Kennedy's got their's during prohibition.

The first amendment says: "CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

The opening part is what caught my eye. Public schools for example, give time off for Jewish holidays, Christian holidays, but never Hindu holidays or Muslim holidays. So doesn't that mean that they're favoring Christainity & Judism over other faiths? Isn't that a violation of the first amendment?

I have no beef with Christianity or Judism, I'm just wondering why it's like this. If there's seperation of church and state, why should we get days off for any holiday?

I got an email last week from a young woman from Russia. She has been telling me about her life at home and is planning a three month trip to the US to work, and hopefully find she can move permanently. Says it would be great to know someone to show her around.

Now she is asking if she could stay at my place.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone here? any stories on the news or in emails warning people of this?
