It use to be free now they charge you. I questioned after I got out of the hospital I was to go in and he would remove my stitches and they charged for the surgery and any follow visits that ask me to make. I also ask why was 2 surgeons billed to my insurance and he told me 2 surgeons always have to be in the operating room. I found that was false he was paying himself for both fees.

Alot of them do. I had Surgery on my eyes he charged me for the follow up. This was semi-understandable. The thing that kicked me was the guy that recommended him to me tried to charge me a $500 referal fee that didn't come up till after the surgery deal was done. Talk about money hounds, all he did was referr me.

EXTREMELY STANDARD!!!!!!!!!!

I had a tooth ache so bad I took the day off from work to see my doctor. He saw me for less than five minutes and told me to take aspirin and I was charged whatever my regular co-pay was at the time.

Doctors are like hookers, it doesn't matter if you get what you came for, you owe them for the time.

It's still an office visit using their time, isn't it? I would say yes, since doctors time is very valuable.
