Tamil spoken in Madurai, Tanjavore is different to what people in Madras City suburbs speak. Southern Keralites'accent is different from people in Palghat area. Telugu, Urdu is mixed in the Kannada when people from Old Hyderabad State districts like Gulbarga, Bidar and Gangavati speak. Still all these linguistic based states never fight among themselves nor demand for division of their states. It is true that AP has different dialects still all speak, read and write the same Telugu which Aadikavi Nannayya used to translate epic mythology like Mahabharata into Telugu. Unity is always strength what ever may be the field. I live far away on the other side globe it doesn’t matter to me much whether AP is divided into two or more. When Potti Sree Ramulu sacrificed his life for the demand of linguistic based states whole country appreciated Telugus. Every Tom D & Harry go to Hyderabad and speak about dividing the state.I wishTelugu brothers and sisters to be unite and strong as they are now

Is the Geico lizard really British? And if so, what comment on the people of England is Geico trying to broadcast?

Is it that that company sees the Brit’s as beings of superior intelligence and great communicators? Or, is this a conspiracy to convey that they are reptilian in nature and thus of a lower life form?

Oh, and for you that are going to freak out and flame the hell out of me, I am just trying to bring a bit of humor to this section that is so full of rage! Learn to laugh... you just might enjoy it.

I've heard some argue that the ACLU supports NAMBLA, but the only reason why they represented NAMBLA is because they were defending NAMBLA's right to assemble, which is protected by the First Amendment. Also, some conservatives may be interested to know that the ACLU has actually represented Jerry Falwell, of all people, on at least one occasion.

This guy asked a question yesterday and basically said he is not a democrat or republican but he answered a question the day before which contradicted that statement. When I referred back to his answer from the day before it somehow mysteriously changed and no longer had his liberal views in it. Should yahoo block us from changing our answers once they have been submitted?

The mainstream media, as epitomized by the New York Times, played a key role in propagating the view that Israel had indiscriminately and "disproportionately" targeted civilian areas in response to Hisb'Allah attacks from Lebanon.

Now, the Times reports on a new study that says Hisb'Allah stored weapons in mosques, battled Israelis from inside empty schools, flew white flags while transporting missiles and launched rockets near UN monitoring posts.

The study also says that 650 out of the 1,084 people the Lebanese government has said were civilians killed in the conflict were in fact Hisb'Allah terrorists.

The NY Times coverage includes declassified IDF video and photos that explain how "The construction of a broad military infrastructure, positioned and hidden in populated areas, was intended to minimize Hisb'Allah's vulnerability. Hisb'Allah would also gain a propaganda advantage if it could represent Israel as attacking innocent civilians."

Not too long ago, gung-ho supporters of the Iraq War wouold shut up skeptics by asking, "Would the Iraqi people be better off if Saddam were still in power?"

Well, the answer to that is YES! Sad but true. The current sectarian strife is costing more lives than Saddam's purges. And here are some more ways in which they were better off under Saddam:

1) He kept order. The Iraqi people need an iron fist or they'll get out of hand, and Saddam was that fist.
2) As a secular ruler, he kept religious extremism from warping public policy.
3) Christians were protected agaisnt Islamic oppression.
4) Women had more rights.

If we really care about the Iraqi people and are not about saving face, maybe we should release Saddam and put him back in charge.

In less than two years from now, the voters of the United States of America will have to elect the 44th President of the United States of Amerca. Hillary Clinton is the heavily favored to get the Democratic Nominee for President and there is a very vague chance that Jeb Bush could seek the Republican nominee for President.
In this hypothetical scenario, it the 2008 Presidential Election was between Former First Lady and NY Senator Hillary Clinton and the Governor of Florida Jeb Bush (who is a brother of President George W. Bush) were to be the Democratic and Republican nominees, how do you think the election would play out? Would it be like the 1992 Election between Clinton and Bush or would there be a lot of negativity in the campaign? Also, who would you want to see win and who do you believe would actually win in this scenario?

when I post questions regarding the poor performance by Bush, I often receive hate-filled responses from neocons who say that I am insulting them. I, however, only questioned Bush, and not the Republicans in general. Besides, I am a moderate Republican myself. So why do the neocons react so hatefully and aggressively? Why do they take it personally?

I mean, here's a guy who created a multi-billion dollar corporation (EDS, Inc.) from scratch. Bush on the other hand only has experience with running small oil companies into bankruptcy. If Perot were president, we would not be in Iraq right now and our deficit would probably be a surplus. Your thoughts?
