No, ironic would be to call Bush by the name Albert, as in Einstein.

Diplomacy implies a give and take approach or a win/win situation. Dictatorships very seldom respond to diplomacy, they are only going to take and never give. Just look at what diplomacy got us with North Korea. We had a deal with them about nuclear weapons but they ignored it and dared us to do something about it.

In Iraq, Iran and Syria are not going to do anything to help either the US or Iraq. They believe if they do nothing the American people will demand we pull out and then they will just slip in and control Iraq just as they do Lebanon.

If you can impose your will you do not need diplomacy. Think of the war as going shopping on Saturday. Stores do not discuss prices with you at the cashier, but do so with manufacturers. Looks like someone will have to buy a used car from a dealer in Tehran.

First, diplomacy is not going to work. It wont work because
there are at least two people in Iraq who do not want it to work,
Primminister Miliki and his very militant Cleric friend.

This particular Iatollah is against us, and certain members of the
Muslim faith. He is responsible for the insurgent activity in Iraq.

For those of you who continue to believe that this war is just
about the oil, I have only this to say, step back and smell
what you've been shoveling.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dozens of UN resolutions before the Iraq war doesn't sound like non-diplomacy to me.

We tried diplomacy. We even warned Saddam to obey the UN agreement.... the one he agreed to obey. All he had to do was allow the inspectors to do their job. Instead he threw them out. You cannot have a one-sided conversation.

The way forward---a new approach; the new motto.."cut and stay"....More words,Less weapons, 79 recommendations...bi-partisan, finally a new light at the end of the tunnel...I say "let's see what the President does with this information, and then post our judgmental bias at that time

you probably have to wait until the dvd version of the movie comes out before you understand what really was going on there. the info is out there but you seem to refuse to look at it. Keep watching who is voted off next from your favorite reality show. that is probably more important to you

Give it a rest and see what Bush does next. Try to really listen.
