In Vietnam that war was fought for political reasons as they didn't attack us. The Iraq war we are fighting cause the enemy attacked us on our own soil. The Vietnam war it was fighting soldiers against soldier while the Iraq war is fighting a lot of the unseen enemy.

they are similar is the sens that US didn't in Vietnam and won't win in Irak. They will both be defeat for the Americans. Another similar point, the population is against the war now in Irak just like for Vietnam.

To "love you": Iraq never attacked you. The terrorists who attacked you were not Iraqis, and in fact they were fanatical muslims, whereas the Saddam regime was a dictatorship, a tyranny, but not an islamic government - in fact it was against this sort of regimes, like Iran. The rest of the world knew from the beginning that the attack against Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 - even Bush didn't try to say that outside the US. Even the British, who were lied to, thought this had to do with nuclear weapons. Only some Americans believed it had to do with 9/11. Now even they know it was a lie. So stop believing it, besides even if Iraqis had done it, it was not the official regime that did it, but its opponents (Shiite islamists), but instead you overturned Saddam and gave the power to Shiites. Now if they really screw up with you, whose fault will it be?Saddam was bad, but he kept islamists in Iraq and Iran under control - by torturing and killing them perhaps, but he did. I hope I am proven wrong, but as the Taliban were given power by the US to fight the Soviets and then turned against them, as Saddam was given arms by the US to fight the Iranian islamists, the same way now Iraqi Shiites (islamists) are given power by the US. What do you expect them to do? Be friends with the west? I expect they will be friends with the Shiites of Iran. I hope I am wrong, again.

They are the same. We went to another country that did not attack us.
