Look, pick up the phone, call the Philippine Embassy in Washington, DC and ask them.....

Question number 30 on a Philippine Visa application asks about criminal convictions. If yes, it requires an explanation.

Well firstly, you can't file for a Fiance visa unless you have met in person within at least 2 years time.

Secondly with the new International Marriage Brokers Regulations Act (IMBRA) US citizens are now subject to criminal record checks before approval of a K-1 Fiance Visa or a K-3 Spouse Visa. Your previous criminal record could cause you some problems with the Fiance visa, even if you do meet the requirements (meeting in person).

Also, it is very difficult for a person from the Philippines to be granted a tourist visa to come to the US, especially single females as the Philippines is considered a high visa fraud country, so the chances of her being allowed to come to the US as a visitor to meet with you are slim.

As to whether or not you can travel outside the US with a criminal record, you should check with US Customs & Border Protection and with the Philippine Embassy.

I am not certain if your ability to travel internationally is limited due to your criminal record. Do you have a parole officer you could call?

However, being a sex offender, I hope you have gotten appropriate help to overcome your issues before you get married. Also, I hope you have told your fiancee about your past issues.

I wish you the best of luck.
